Overall I played well and in spite of some ups & downs ended up 1st. I was in the middle of four players who were playing from 8-12 sessions and that helped a bit with my chip stack building.
Due to an article I read in Card Player mag on taking bad beats/getting beat by lucky very loose players, when my pocket 10's were beat out by Q8o causing me to lose about 2000 chips and feeling really irritated about that, let that article come to mind and eased myself out of my tilt.
In short, that article mentioned that in poker "luck" plays a part, more so than many poker players want to admit, and you just need to learn to live with that fact. Good play in the long run will win out for you; other players who play wild will luck out on you from time to time. Don't despair..
