Pocket Q's did me in twice this session. 1st time they cracked my pocket A's, last time, last hand, w/only 560 chips left and blinds of 40/80 I had pocket J's. I had to play as that was likely the best cards I'd see before I blinded out.
Hand 11 is what hurt me and I was never able to really recover from. I'm HJ w/pocket A's (Ac Ah). Action folds to me and I open raise 2 1/2 BB (100), SB calls and rest fold. Flop 5d 10h Qs. Not too bad looking. SB checks and I bet 120 into the 240 pot and they call. Turn 10s. That I don't like. They could have trip 10's now. SB checks & I check. River 2c. No change. SB bets 420 into the 480 pot. 1st direct action they've taken. I'm worried they have a 10 and wonder if they could have pocket Q's, but if they did have the Q's, wouldn't they have bet them sooner? I can't see folding at this point and call. They show pocket Q's and win. I'm down to 850 chips. Not terrible but will take some work to get back; that didn't happen this session.
