2 HU $2 + .20 End 2nd 20 hands

Mixed play on my part. Last hand bad choice to go all-in.

Hand 20. I'm BB w/Jh 10s, 920 chips. SB opens w/raise to 40 & I call. Flop Qh 8d Qc. I decide to bet the pot to see if he might have a Q. SB calls. He didn't go away but I'm still not sure if he has a Q. In previous hands he's made large re-raises which is what I expected here if he'd hit the Q. Turn 10d. I pair my 10 and this time I bet almost half the pot - 110. SB raises me to 220 and I call. The best I can hope for is a straight. River 6d. I check. SB bets 680 which if I call would put me all-in. I decide "oh to heck with it" and call to see if he actually has me beat and expect to see a Q. Well he didn't disappoint. He had Qd 8c. Had flopped a FH on the flop. :-/ I was dead at that point and he had slow played it.

Now, overall, based on how he had been playing earlier, if not my cards, odds were he had something to continue when I bet and later when he raised my bet but I choose to ignore those signs and in the end came up on the losing side.

9 SNG $5 + .50 End 5th 72 hands

Mixed play.

Rush Tour 135 $4 + .40 End .33 108 hands

Overall I played this one well and went out w/pocket A's. :-(

Hand 109. Blinds 150/300. I'm BTN w/3260 chips and pocket A's (Ad Ac). Action folds to CO w/ 9871 chips and they raise to 1000, I decide to re-raise all-in 3260, SB & BB fold. BB shows Kc 10c. Not too bad for my pocket A's. Flop Jh 10d 7d. Pairs CO's 10. Turn 10s. Not nice! River 4s. Over & out for me.

Not much more I can say. I got it all-in with the best cards to a player who could double me up. Unfortunately the cards fell his way.

Rush Tour 135 $4 + .40 End 120 8 hands

Not a lot I need to say. Chased a heart flush after 3h Qs 5h flop. Lost to Q's.

Hand 4, I'm BB w/Ah 2h. UTG bets 3 1/2 BB, MP calls, and I call. Flop 3h Qs 5h.. I bet 1/2 the 330 pot (165), UTG+1 folds, MP raises all-in w/1745 chips. I think about it and decide to go for the nut flush draw and call. MP shows As Qd. Turn Ks. River Jc.  Short & not so sweet.

Rush Tour 135 $4 + .40 End 64 40 hands

1st Rush Tournament I've played. It has 3 min blinds but ups the chips to 2000 at the start. Pays top 15. Is fun. My play was fair

Hand 15. I have 1350 chips. I got lucky. I'm BB w/Jd 2d, SB limps. Flop 3s 2s 2c. I hit trip 2's w/a fair kicker. SB goes all-in w/735 chips and I call. SB shows 3d 6d. Turn 7c River 4d. I win.

Hand 32 luck went the other way. I have 1845 chips. UTG w/Ac Kd. I open w/a 3 BB (240) raise, all fold to HJ who raises all-in w/his last 570 chips, rest fold, I call. HJ shows Jd Js. I have two overcards. Flop 4d Jc 5h. Not a good flop for me. Turn Kh. River 9s. Not much else happened until the hand 40.

Hand 40. Blinds are 50/100. I have 875 chips in UTG+1 position w/pocket 6's (6h 6d). UTG folds, I raise all-in, MP calls, CO re-raises to 1650, rest fold and MP calls. Flop 8d 7c 3d. MP checks and CO bets all-in w/1390, MP calls. MP shows Ad Ks, CO shows pocket J's (Jh Js). I NEED a SIX! Turn 2s. River 10s. And so my 1st Rush Tournament ends.

I'd like to the blinds to be a bit longer, but otherwise it makes for a much faster play in a tournament, at least to the final table and I imagine there are slowdowns when you get to the last 3 or 4 tables.

Rush 9 player .02/.05 325 Hands Down $3.60 Blinds ate $2.47 Rake $1.52

Tried some more rush but this time at .02/05, which means the max I can start with is $5. I tended to play agressive opening with a 3 BB bet and betting the pot after the flop whether I hit it or not when it was checked to me. Overall that worked well. My downfalls tended to be not getting out of hands when I hit resistance; say I hit the K on the flop as well as the other player but I had a weaker kicker. A couple of times I was sucked out on.,

I didn't get any fantastic hands, AA once (won 2 cents), KK three times (won 69 cents), QQ zero times, JJ three times (won 38 cents) and 10 10 zero times. Basically they folded to my initial bet or raise.

In general I was pleased with my play and need to review the hands where I busted to see what steps I can take in the future to avoid those situations.

9 SNG $ 2 + .25 End 1st 112 hands

In spite of still feeling the effects of my last Wed illness, I wasn't falling asleep and decided to get up
and play one session of SNG holdem. Wouldn't you know it, PT has finalized a new version , so I had to download and install it then run the Housekeeping before I could play.

I'm not going to write much now as I still feel off. Overall I felt I played well. I able to cash in nicely with some pocket Q's, and later a pair of pocket 10's, though on that one I probably should have bet differently on the flop & turn as I gave the other player a chance to hit his Q on the Turn or the River by just calling his bets instead of raising him. Then again because I didn't I picked up an extra 1600 chips because he choose to bet with nothing.

I'll see if I can put in some more detail later.
