2 HU $5 + .25 End 1st Won $10 35 Hands

Hard to believe I've not played any online poker for the past couple of days. Probably the break was good for me.

Started the day with a HU's and for the 1st 20 hands I had a small chip lead. On hand 21 I had Ah Kd on the BT and Open-Raised 2 BB and was RR to 100. I decided to just call. The other player is from Russia so I suspect he has an Ace. The Flop 5s 6s Ad. I pair my Ace w/a pretty good kicker. BB bets 120 into the 200 pot and I just call. I've decided to slow play my hand BUT the BB could easily be going with Ax where x is a rag (low) card. Turn Qd. BB bets 260 into the 440 pot and I just call again. I'm not too worried about the Q. River 5d. I don't like that card as I put him on Ax and if he had a 5 he would have trip 5's OR a FH. I'm not worried about his having a flush. He bets only 230 into the 960 pot, which is pretty low if he has a winning hand, but he could be low betting hoping I don't fold and will give him something. I just call since with one pair there are a lot of ways he could beat me. He shows Ac 9h. Pretty much the kind of hand I expected his to have. I win and now have a nice chip lead.

Fast forward to the last hand. This was a very iffy one for me to call and I was very lucky on the River.
I'm on the BT w/KcKd, BB only has 640 chips left. I decide to slow play my pocket K's and hope the BB hits something worthwhile that will let me win all his chips. He just calls. Flop Kh Qh Ah. Yuck. Not the kind of hand I want to see. I now have a very nice set but the board shows a possible made flush that I have no part of. BB checks and I make a min bet of 30 into the 60 pot. BB check-raises to 90 and I decide to RR to 210 which should give a pretty idea of how much in love with the hearts flop he is. Rats, he RR All-In. He could be on a flush draw, but much more likely he has the made flush. It will cost me 430 in chips to call him and if I can somehow win this session is over. If I lose he'll be well back into the game. I think about it for awhile, and decide to go for it. The worse case scenario he'll double up; I'm hoping he'll only be on a draw. And, as I likely expected, he has the made flush with Jh 6h. Now I can just hope for a 4th K or the board doubles up to give me a FH. Turn 8d. Not looking good. River Ad. WOW, I hit it and session is over. Phew!!
