I got in trouble early on in Hand 6 w/pocket 8's (8c 8s). Flop 10s 5c 4h. Turn Jd Other player bet 255 to my check and I raised them to 510, they called. They had the J and after that hand I was down to 585 chips.
Hand 20 I got lucky with pocket 7's (7s 7d). Three players bet 2 BB (120) before play made it to me, I called and so did the BB. Flop 6s 4d Jc. Ah, a J again. Action folded to me and I bet 210 into the 630 pot, BB called and rest folded. Hum, is my pocket pair already beat again? Turn Qs. Both I & BB check. River 9h, again we check. BB shows Kc 6c. I win and now have 1565 chips and am back in the game!!
From there on out I played decently and on hand 55 I found I'd made the money. There were five of us left and three went all-in. Pocket 8's vs AKs vs A6s. The pocket 8's held up and we were down to three. Last hand I had AKo vs 7d 9s. He paired his 9 on the flop and that was it.

Bad error on last hand. I thought flopped a straight, but only had an open-ended straight. Called an all-in & it was all over. Had done very will up to that point and had 27,811 chips. Very irksome to me!!

Decent play on my part. I was ahead most of the match but we seemed at a stuck sort of place. The other player started going all-in somewhat frequently. Since I didn't have good enough cards to call them I don't know they suddenly got super hands or not. The best hand I had was pocket J's.
Last hand was a bit of a gamble on my part. Blinds 25/50, I'm BTN w/Qs 6s and 1930 chips, BB has 995 chips. I open raise 2 BB (100) and BB calls. Flop Ks 3c Js giving me a 2nd high nut flush draw. BB decides to go all-in. I debate what to do and what they might have. Do they have the Ace of spades? Do they have two spades too? In the end I decide to call (I'll have almost 1000 chips left if I lose so still be in the game). BB shows Qh 10s; they have an open ended straight draw and a better kicker w/their Q if all we see is air. Turn Jh. River 8s. I hit my flush & win!

Had some early success then had my pocket A's cracked by pocket 8's. Fortunately the person who cracked them had far fewer chips than me so I only got knocked back to 1625 from 2195.

18 SNG Step 2 Ticket End 6th won Step 2 Ticket 103 Hands Step 2
Payout 1-5 Step 3 Ticket, 6th - Step 2 Ticket, 7-8 Step 1 Ticket.
So-so play early and poor play last couple of hands where I should have been more patience and likely won a Step 3 ticket.
By hand 38 I was down to 600 chips and it was looking like I wasn't going to even make the top 8, but I was able to make a comeback and by hand 73 where we had the final 9 I had 2560 chips. Hands 100, 102 & 103 were my last poorly played ones. Six of us were left and this was the Step 2 to Step 3 bubble.
Hand 100 I'm HJ w/pocket 2's (2c 2s), 4750 chips (3rd highest stack), blinds 200/400. UTG folds and I limp in w/400, CO calls, BTN & SB fold, BB checks. Flop 3h As 8c. BB checks and I bet 800 into the 1400 pot hoping everyone will fold. CO calls & BB folds. Turn 9h. I check & so does the CO. River 5s. We both check again and CO shows Ac Kd. I give up 1200 chips.
Hand 102. I'm BB w/Ah 4s. Action folds to the SB who open raises all-in w/1340 chips. They are the short stack and were playing 6 sessions. With blinds at 200/400 I figure they could go all-in with almost anything so I decide to call. They show Ac 8s. I need a 4 or lots of hearts. The board plays out: 9d 6c 3c 5d 8d. I'm down another 1340 chips with 2210 left ... 5th in stack size to the short stack of 1760.
Hand 103. I don't feel as poorly about this hand as it would be helpful if I could pick up some more chips. I'm the SB w/Qc 10s. Action folds to me and I open raise 2 1/2 BB (1000) to the BB who has 6750 chips. and if all goes well, they'll fold and I'll pick up the 400 BB chips. The BB doesn't really need to challenge me as they have the 2nd highest chips stack. However they decide to call. Flop 4s 7d Qd. I have top pair and 1210 chips left so I decide to go all-in. BB takes a long time deciding and finally calls showing pocket 7's (7c 7h) having hit a set on the flop. :-/ I could use a Q. Turn 5h. River Ah. It's over and I win the Step 2 ticket. Not bad, but it would have been nice to win the Step 3 ticket and with a bit more patience on my part I feel I would have!!

Flush trumped my nut hight straight. I had Ah 10s. UTG limped in for 50 as did I & the BTN, BB checked. Flop 2c Jc Qs. I have a gutshot straight draw. UTG bets 90, I & the BTN call, BB folds. Turn Kc. I hit my gutshot straight but a club flush is now possible. UTG bets 240 into the 405 pot, I raise them to 480, UTG re-raises to 720, and I re-raise all-in w/my last 900, UTG calls. UTG shows 5c 4c and indeed has the flush. River 6s. I'm done.
If this wasn't a freeroll I likely would not have pushed once the flush possibility showed up. I didn't expect them to have much beyond maybe top pair or two pair or even a straight as well. Alas I was wrong in that.

Mixed play. Did ok near the beginning and gained a some chips, but later on as the blinds got higher gave them away trying to get a few more. Last hand I had J4s ahd hit top and bottom pair on the flop, ended up going all-in. The other player had pocket J's and hit a set on the flop. That did me in.

We battled on the button from hand 68 to hand 95. Then on hand 97 we were heads up. I had 4410 chips and the other player had 9090 chips (he was the one playing 16 sessions). We were going back and forth and I did get to the lead, then on hand 130 I got quite lucky with KJo vs AA. Blinds were 120/240 and I was the BB. I had pretty much decided that if he wanted to go all-in this hand I'd take a shot at it. He open raises 2 1/2 BB (600) and I raise him to 1680. He re-raises me all-in w/his last 4450 chips and since I'd already decided I'd call his all-in, I did. I expected him to have good cards but I wasn't really expecting him to have pocket A's!! Looks like I'm going to finish 2nd. Flop 7h 8c 6c. Not much help to me but we could chop the pot with runner, runner straight cards on either end. Turn Kc. I pair my K but he now has a flush draw too. River Kh. My my, the poker gods swung my way!!! :-)

Hand 4 was another good one. I had pocket J's vs J7o and I hit a set on the flop. They went all during the betting on the River. They didn't have enough chips to double me up, but I now had 4320 chips so could relax a bit and be more choosy about the cards I play.

We had 3 players playing multiple tables, one 4, the 2nd 9, and 3rd 16 so much of the time it was easy to steal their blinds. Hand 56 it looked like I might take one of them out. I had pocket Q's and they had pocket J's. They hit a J on the flop and that cut me back to 3200 chips.
