Yesterday I played a HU to start my day. Hand 1 I had AQo and the other player went All-In Pre-Flop. He had J7o. Board went 9 3 8 J T. I lucked out hitting a straight on the River. I really expected to see better pocket cards from him when I called his All-In.
After that when I checked Poker Tracker I couldn't get it to show this session, or if it did, it didn't show my other February sessions. Tried a few things with no change then noticed that my name was entered twice in the player list. One name shows the past, the other this one HU session. Not sure what was going on, but checking the forums on PT and there solution was to create a new DB from the Processed file folder. Did that and many, many hours later that completed. Did a comparison of this new DB and the old and noticed some January sessions were missing in the new. Couldn't figure out why as they were all done here and on this PC (not at MB's or on my portable). Requested a hand history on those 6 tournaments (actually did a date range that included them) and got that back. Edited the tournament results and was almost on track, except there seemed to be one more small error of a dollar in the net for January 2011. Searched that out and found a difference in a re-buy event of a dollar. Fixed that. Now I have to decide if I want to check the other months to fix any discrepancies. Is nice I have this lil notebook that has all my sessions from 8/30/08 forward in it so I can find out the results of a tournament when needed.
There apparently was some problem with my 'puter when the PT issue occurred. I went to Excel and it wanted to start installing, which it should not do. Rebooted my computer and that fixed that problem but I still had PT to deal with. Glad the re-boot worked!
That brings us to today's HU session. This one went 20 hands. I was SB w/Kd 6d and O-R 2 BB, BB RR to 90 and I called. I wasn't happy with that but wanted to see the flop. Flop 4d Ks 7d. Not a bad flop for me. My K doesn't have a very good kicker but I have flush draw with K high. BB decides to bet All-In w/their 1615 chips and I decide to call as I had a good number of outs. He shows Ah 8h. He hit nothing on the flop. That surprised me. Turn 5c. That gave the BB a gutshot straight draw. River A. He now has best pair and it's over and I'm outta there. I have a beautiful rising EV line for this one, but the $$$$ green line is for the pits!

2 HU $5 + .50 End 1st 1 Hand
Took a chance on the 1st hand when the other player O-R All-In. I had AQo. He had J7o. Board went 9 3 8 J by the Turn and it looked like I was going to lose, but a 10 fell on the River giving me a straight and I won!! Phew!!
Wasn't sure if he really had something or was just going All-In because that is the way he likes to play. I did make a "country" consideration before I decided to call expecting that he might only have Ax; he had worse cards than I expected BUT he ALMOST won anyway!!

2 HU $5 + .50 34 Hands End 2nd
Got off to a good start then on the 9th hand where I hit a set w/99 we went to the River and he hit a staright w/8T. That knocked me back to 920 chips and I didn't recover from that due to poor play on my part. Not sure if I'd bet stronger on the flop it would have made a difference as he had an up and down straight draw.
I did feel good on an assumption I made on hand #2. I had QTo as the SB and O-R 2 BB.BB RR me to 100 and since I was up a few chips, I decided to call. Flop KKT. I paired my 10 but KK doesn't look good for me. BB checks and I bet 100 into the 200 pot to test the waters. He calls. Not sure what that means beyond he doesn't want to push it at this point, but likely he doesn't have K unless he's slow playing it. River 10c. I know have a FH but if the BB has a K they have a better FH than me. BB checks and I decide to just check too. River Ad. I actually don't mind that. BB bets the pot of 400. I think about it and decide he mostly likely had Ax where x is neither a K or a 10, however to be on the safe side I only call. I was correct, he had As 8s. I win, have a nice lead and am feeling pretty good about this session.
Too bad it fell apart a few hands later. Would have better yet if I had played better after that hit as I had enough chips to make a comeback.

2 HU $5 + .50 End 2nd 186 hands
This one probably went too long but it was hard to play against someone who folded a lot, particularly when I had some really nice cards. The reason for this post though, is the last few hands I just couldn't win. :-/
Hand 179 I have 2480 chips to his 340. I have Ac 4d blinds 60/120. I O-R 2 BB and he goes all in. I call. He has 10d 5d. The board plays out 10h Js Jc 10s 5h. He doubles up to 920.
Hand 182. I have Ac Qd, 1920 chips, blinds 80/160. He O-R A-I and I call. He shows Jh Kc. The board plays out Jc 2d 6d 10h 10s. Again he doubles up.
Hand 186, last hand. I have Ks 9c, 600 chips. He limps in, I RR to A-I. He has 8h 7h. The board plays out Js 5s Kc 4c 6d. He hits a straight on the River. I'm down for the count.
Poker can be very cruel sometimes!! :-?
I did have one lucky River earlier where I'd have lost but the board paired on the River giving both of us the same FH.
