9 SNG $2 + .25 End 4th 102 hands

Mixed play. Last hand I didn't believe an all-in had it and as is all to often the case for me, they did and I was gone.

Hand 1. I'm SB w/pocket A's (Ad Ac). Action folds to me and I open raise 2 BB (60) and BB calls. Flop Js 8d Qc. I bet 1/2 the 120 pot and BB folds. Such nice cards, so little action.

Hand 5. Hand that made it a fight for me to the end. I'm MP2 w/As Qc. Action folds to me and I open raise 3 BB (90), HJ folds, CO raises to 210, rest fold and I call. Flop 2c 4s 3s. I have a wheel and flush draw. Both I & BB check. Turn 8s. I bet 255 into the 465 pot and the BB raises me to 660. Since I have two good draws I call. River Jd. Nothing for me.  I check and BB bets 585 which would put me all-in and I Fold. I'm left w/570 chips.

Hand 102. I'm BB w/2855 chips after posting. Blinds are 120/240. I have 2c 9d. Four of us are left and we've been battling since hand 47. UTG limps in w/240, rest fold, and I check. Flop 7s 7c 9h. I pair my 9. I decide to test the waters by betting the pot of 600 and BB calls. Turn As. I & BB check. Maybe I should have made a continuation bet here. River 6s. Since I've not heard much from UTG I bet 960 into the 1800 pot and UTG raises all-in w/their last 2300 chips. That was my clue to fold. There's a lot they could beat my two pair with. Instead I call, and UTG shows, not the flush I was expecting, but a straight they got on the River. They have 8c 10c. I'm outta there.

9 SNG $2 + .25 End 8th 9 hands

I got off to a good start then came hand 7 that looked so promising.

Hand 7. I'm MP2 w/Ks Js. UTG & UTG+1 limp in w/30, MP1 folds, I limp in as does the HJ, CO & BTN, SB folds & BB checks. A nice multiway pot. Flop 10h 9h Qd. I look at it for a bit and realize I flopped a straight! BB & UTG check, UTG+1 bets the pot of 225, I raise to 450, HJ folds, CO calls, BTN, BB & UTG fold, UTG+1 reraises all-in w/their last 1050 chips. I figure they also have a straight and doubt they are on a flush draw. I call & the CO calls. Turn 6d. So far so good, though there are flush draws out there. I decide to bet my last 450 and the CO calls. CO shows Jh 4h, having a flush draw. UTG+1 shows Qh 10s, having top two pair. I'm hoping for a black card or diamond on the River. River Kh. BOOM. So much for me this session.

I feel I played that well and gave it all I could to try and keep away players with flush draws. I could have held back that last 450 and still be in the session but at that point I felt I had the best hand or at least tied for it and if they were going for a draw it would cost them a bit more (they only had 105 chips left after they called). I could have gone all-in on the flop instead of just call the 1275 raise but I don't feel that would have detered the CO since he was willing to call the 1275 too. So go the cards.

2 HU $1 + .10 End 2nd 75 hands

Mixed play. I don't feel I played badly but could have played better. AK did not do well for me, missing the flop all three times I had it. AKo vs 44, AKo vs ?? w/flop of 7s 9d 4h 5c Jc (it might have worked better if I had played that one more aggressively instead of passively), and AKo vs ?? w/flop 8s 8h 7h Qh Jh (I played aggressive pre-flop, but slowed down after). Of course my opponent was hurt real bad w/AKo later and I thought I'd win from there when he went down to 210 chips, but he made a comeback.

Hand 50.I'm SB w/Ks Qs and 1370 chips. Blinds 25/50. I open raise w/125 and BB reraises me to 200, I call. Flop Qh 9h 5d. I pair my Q. BB bets 100 into the 400 pot and I raise to 200, BB calls. Turn 7h. Don't like that as it makes a flush possible. BB checks and I decide to take a stab at the pot and bet 375 into the 800 pot, BB calls. Not sure what that means as I'd rather he folded at this point. River Kc. I have top two pair. BB checks and I decide to go all-in w/my last 620. If he has the flush he's not been betting it. BB shows As Kh pairing his K on the River. I win and he's down to 210 chips. I expected to win from here.

Hand 54. I'm SB w/Qs 6s. BB has 210 in chips after posting the BB. I open raise 2 BB (100) and as I expected BB re-raises all-in, I call. BB shows pocket 2's. I have 2 overcards. Flop 5d Kh 9h. No help to me. Turn 2s. He hits his set. River 6h. He now has 520 chips.

Hand 60. I'm SB w/Kd 7c. BB has 495 chips after posting BB. I open raise 2 1/2 BB (125) and BB calls. Flop Ah Jd 8c. Nothing for me. BB checks and I bet 125 into the 250 pot. BB calls leaving them w/295 chips. Turn Ac. Ah, that I don't like to see. If BB has an Ace they are in pretty good shape now. BB checks and w/two Ace's out there I do the same. River Qs. I didn't pair anything. BB makes a min bet of 50 into the 600 pot and I decide to call to see what they have. They show Jc 5s, having paired J's on the flop. Since he called my bet on the flop w/an Ace showing, I don't know if he'd have backed down if I'd bet the turn. Being more aggressive at that point might have been more helpful and if he called, I could reconsider what I'd do next. He now has 845 chips.

Hand 61. I'm BB w/Ad 2s. SB limps w/50 and I call. Flop Jc Qh Js. Interesting and not much help to me. Both I and the BB check. Turn Ac. I've paired my Ace. I bet 50 into the 100 pot and the SB calls. River 2c. I now have top two pair, but the board is paried with J's and shows a possible flush as well. I make a min bet of 50 into the 200 pot and the SB raises to 150. Since it's a small bet and I want to see what he has I call. SB shows Jh 2h. They had trip J's on the fop and a FH on the River. We're back to even.

Hand 62 I get some of the chips back. I'm SB w/Kc 10h. I open raise 2 1/2 BB (125) and the BB calls. Flop 6c 4s 10c. I have top pair. BB checks and I bet 100 into the 250 pot, BB calls. Turn Jd. BB checks and I bet 175 into the 450 pot, BB calls. River 2h. BB checks and I decide to check as well. BB shows Qc 9c. I win and they are back down to 695 chips.

Hand 63 & 64 they get chips back. Hand 63 I have Ac Ks but the board ran out 8s 8h 7h Qh Jh and I folded to a River bet. Hand 64 I had 8h 9h, made a pre-flop raise and checked the rest of the way. Flop showed 6s 2c Kd. BB had pocket K's (Kh Kc) that they did not bet on after they hit the set. They are back to 1115 chips.

Hand 66. This is one I know better than to pursue but did anyway. I'm SB w/6s 8h. I open raise 2 BB (120) and BB calls. Flop 3h 9h Qh. I have an 8h but that would be pretty weak in a "who has the better flush" contest. BB checks and I make a min bet of 60, BB calls. Since I made such a small bet I can't really tell what his calling means; he could have it, he could be drawing. Turn 8s. I paired my 8. Again BB checks and again I make a min bet of 60, BB raises to 120 which is small enough I decide to call. River Ah. I now have a flush but don't feel very comfortable with it. BB checks one more time and I decide to take a stab at it and bet 300 into the 600 pot. BB reraises me to 600 and I decide to call hoping my flush is better but doubting it is. BB shows Kh 6h, having hit the 2nd nut flush on the flop and slow playing it. I'm down to 1015 chips and they have 1985.

Hand 74. The blinds have been eating my chip stack. I'm SB w/Ks 7c and 745 chips. I open raise w/2 BB (120), BB calls. Flop 5s 4h 6c. I have an open ended straight draw. Both the BB & I check. Turn 6d. BB bets 60 and I call. River 7h. I missed the open ended straight and only have my 7 paired. BB bets 180 into the 360 pot and for no good reason I decide to call. Odds are they have the straight and my chip count is so low there is no reason for me to give away another 180 chips just to see if they really do have the straight. BB shows 8h 10d, and indeed they hit a gutshot straight on the River.

Hand 75. I'm BB w/Js 9d and 355 chips.  SB limps in w/60 and I raise all-in w/my last 355. SB calls showing Ks 4c, one overcard. Flop 6h 8c 7s. Some hope for me as I have an open ended straight draw. Turn 3h. River As. All over. I've managed to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory!

9 SNG $1 + .20 End 6th 46 Hands

Mixed play.

Hand 44. Overplayed my Ac Qc. I'm BTN w/1415 chips, blinds 50/100. Short stack UTG goes all-in w/380 chips, UTG+1 calls, HJ & CO fold, I call, SB calls & BB folds. Flop 9c Kh Jh. Not helpful to me though I do have a gutshot straight draw. SB goes all-in w/last 490, UTG+1 folds. I debate it and should really fold as it's likely the SB has at least a pair on the flop, but instead I call. Indeed SB has a K, Kd Qd and the UTG, short stack shows Ad 5d. An Ace or a 10 would be nice for me! Turn 9h. Flop 8c. I'm down to 545 chips.

Hand 46. I'm HJ w/Ah Ks. Good chance to double up I hope. UTG limps in w/100, I raise all-in w/my last 545 chips, CO calls and rest fold. CO shows 10h 10d. I have two overcards. Flop 3c Ad Jd. Encouraging as I pair my Ace. Then things turn sour. Turn 10c. River 8d. My session is over.

Tour 9017 $1T End 3356 50 Hands Daily Dollar

Payout: 1st $1599, 9th - $110   901-1080 - $2.20

Mixed play. Had been making a comeback. Had pocket K's UTG, open raised 2 1/2 BB (500) and was raised to 1700 by the big stack. I decided to reraise them all-in w/my last 2820 chips, they called and had pocket A's. This was a new table I'd been moved to and I thought they might have decent cards, but didn't take them for pocket A's. Thier A's held and I was done.

9 SNG $1 + .20 End 1st 109 Hands

Decent play most of the time. Got a little sloppy when we were down to the last 3 but managed to slow down and get myself back into the game. HU overall was played ok.

9 SNG $1 + .20 End 2nd 107 hands

OK play. Could have played the HU better.

TOUR 300 40 FTP End 82 48 Hands $1 Main Event Satillite

Payout 1-48 Entry.

Was doing ok and likely on road for entry, but borderline. Thought this last hand would help.

Hand 48. I'm MP w/As Jc and 4645 chips. UTG limps in w/240, I call, CO calls and BB checks. Flop Ah Jd Ks. I have top and bottom pair. BB checks, UTG min bets 240 into the 1280 pot and I raise to 960, UTG reraises all-in w/6385 chips. I doubt he has AK but may have paired any one of those 3 cards, so I call putting me all-in. UTG shows Kh Js, middle and bottom pair. I feel optimistic. Turn Kd. Drat. So much for optimism. River 5d. I'm outta there.

I don't feel too bad about that. I'm really tired and used this as a test to see if maybe I could try my entry in the $1 Main Event Seat Qualifier, but no I can't. Only 5 winners and it's going to take a long, long time to get to the end if I was ever so lucky to get that far.

Tour 7500 Freeroll End 16th Won $3 343 Hands $150 Freeroll

Payout:  1st - $18, 9th - $4.50,   37-45 - $0.90

Phew!! This started around 2AM and it's now 8:40AM. I thought I'd have a quick journey with it and then go to bed, instead I managed to make it to the last 18!! No big $$$ here, but it is good practice in working the chips over the long run and working w/blinds of 20,000/40,000/ante  5000. My highest chip count was around 350,000.

My play was mixed but overall I feel I did ok. Now I have another one that starts around 10:30 AM. I may decide to unregister and get my $1.10 turned into tournament $.

9 SNG $1 + .20 End 2nd 130 Hands

Overall ok play. I made it to HU w/4240 chips to 9260. Went out w/QT vs 7A. I hit a 10 on the flop and he hit an Ace on the River. Was tougher playing than I expected. Only a couple went out early and the rest played pretty decently and hung around.

Toiur $0.25 + .05 End 1-25 Won Entry 56 Hands $1 Main Evt Sat

Payout 1-25 Entry   26th - $0.50       Since I'm already in this tournament I won $1.10 T

Phew, it was a squeak at the end and poor early hand play put me at a chip disadvantage early on. I had 3530 chips near the end but the blinds were going up quickly; 200/400/50 ante at this point and 400/800/100 ante with 26 of us left at the end. I didn't play pocket Q's several hands earlier from MP1 position when UTG+1 went all-in w/5820 chips, blinds 300/600/75 ante as I didn't want to get knocked out this close to the finish line. Turns out UTG+1 also had pocket Q's!!
