2 HU $5 + .50 End 1st 22 Hands

Wasn't sure how this one was going to go, as the other player bet pretty aggressively and I was getting behind in chips as I was folding a lot and not knowing what they were actually holding. Hand 4 I thought I might make some headway as I had Ah 5c and up through the Turn the board showed As 4h 3c 2d. I had a straight. We got into a bet, raise, re-raise situation until I was all-in. They showed 2d Jc. Thought I had 'em, but the River was a 5c giving both of us a straight and we chopped the pot. That was sad and I was wondering if this was going to be a replay of my poor start of last night. Well, it was better, in that I didn't lose that hand. :-)

Hand 11 I got another chance to see what they were holding. I was SB w/Kh 5c and open raised 2 BB (60), BB called. Flop Kd As Ad. I pair my K, but there's two A's out there and if the BB has one, they have trips over my pair, or a FH if they have AK (I didn't think of that at the time). BB makes a min bet of 30 and I decide to just call. Turn 9s. Well we're no worse off now. Again BB min bet's 30 and I call. River Ac.  Wow. I have a FH, but could BB have quad A's? Based on their betting I'm pretty sure they don't. BB bets the pot of 240 and I decide to just call. They show 2h 7c. Double wow. They have NOTHING.

Hand 17. I'm the SB w/9s 7d. I limp in w/30 and BB raises me to 60 and I call. There pattern has been to often make a raise to whatever I open bet. Flop 9h 3d 10s. I pair my 9. BB checks & so do I. Turn 7h. I pair my 7 as well and now have two pair. I like that but the board shows a possible straight or gutshot straight draw. BB makes a min bet of 30 and I raise them to 60, they call. River Ah. Now the board shows a heart flush possibility as well. Hum. BB bets the pot of 240 and  based on what I've seen of a few of their hands I call, leaving me w/475 chips if I lose. They show 6h Kc. Again nothing but a K high! I have 1075 chips.

Hand 21 the tide turns. I'm SB w/Ad 5d and 1145 in chips. I open raise 2 BB (80) and the BB raises me to 420. If I call I'll have 665 chips left and since I have a suited Ace I re-raise all-in and BB calls. They show Kc 9d. I have one over card. Flop Jc Ac Ah. Now that was nice for me and I have trip A's. Turn Jd. Even better, I now have a FH. River 7c. I win. They are now down to 670 chips.

Hand 22. I'm BB w/Ah 10c. SB open raises 4 BB (160) and since that leaves them w/only 510 chips I re-raise to 700, which if they call puts them all-in. They do call and we have a situation very similar to last hand. They have Kh 9c. Again I have the Ace overcard. Flop 5d 5h 6c. No harm, no foul. Turn Jh. Still ok. Rive Jd. It's over and I win!! Phew! That was a relief. I much prefer to start off on the winning side of things. :-)
