Overall I'm pleased with my play. Both 1st & 2nd had 1 1/2 to 2x my chip count. I could probably have waited for a better last hand but blinds were 300/600 and I had about 7 rounds left at best.
Hand 120. As BB I had Kd 7d, 3 of us left. BT folded and SB bet 3 BB (1800) I called. Flop Jh Qs 10d giving me and up and down straight draw and runner, runner 2nd nut high flush draw. SB went all in and I called. If all went well I'd double up, and if not so well maybe we'd chop a straight. SB had Ah 10h. Turn Kh giving SB a straight and a flush draw on the river. Only an Ace could save me. River Jd. Over and Out, but at least I was in 3rd place out of the 5 places paid.
Early on I was worried about busting out early as by hand 23 I was down to 955 chips. but with pocket K's on hand 27 I was back in the running. I was in MP2 position, EP2 limped w/60 and I raised 4 BB to 240 deciding to come out strong. EP2 called. Flop 10d 3h 8d. EP2 bet the pot. of 570 and I only had 805 chips left so it was fold or shove, I shoved. They could have had a set, maybe they were on a flush draw or a straight draw. I didn't feel they had pocket A's. They call and it turns out they only had 8c 9h pairing the 8 on the board. Turn 10c and River As. Fortunately they didn't have an Ace. My stack was now 2180!! :-)
Hand 40 was another nice win. Blinds 50/100. I was BB w/Kd 10d. MP1 bet 2 bb (200), CO called, BT & SB folded and I called. Flop Kc Jd 5d giving me top pair and a 2nd nut flush draw. I bet 300 into the 650 pot and MP1 & CO folded and I pulled in the pot.
Hand 55. I had pocket 8's for the 3rd time this session and had not been able to do anything with them. Blinds were now 80/160 and I was the BB, only 7 of us at the table. The short stack SB with 630 chips went all-in and I decided to call hoping they didn't have a better pair. They showed 9c 5c, one overcard. Flop 2c 3s 6d. Turn Qc giving the SB a flush draw on the River. River 10d and I win the 1260 pot.
Hand 57 I give some of the chips back. On the BT w/As Qh, 6 players, all fold to me and.I bet 3 BB (480), SB folds and BB calls. flop 7s 10d 8h. BB bets about 1/2 the pot (560 into 1040), and though I would like to call all I have is A Q high and at best I'd probably just pair one of those. BB could have a straight or a set or even a big pair since they did call me pre-flop, so I tuck my head under my chin and fold to wait a better time to storm the gates.
Turns out that time shows up next hand, hand 58. .As CO I have Ah Qh, BT is sitting out so w have 5 players. UTG +1 limps w/160, I raise to 560 (3 1/2 BB), SB & BB fold, UTG+1 calls. Flop Ad 5h Jc.UTG+1 checks and I bet about 1/2 the pot (650 into 1360) and UTG+1 folds..Nice to get those chips plus a little bit more back so quickly. Things stay pretty much the same until we are down to the final table.
I came to the final table with 3740 chips. Top chip count was 14, 510 and least 1055. There were 5 below me, but there wasn't a lot of difference between us that a good win couldn't change things. Blinds were 120/140.
Hand 92 was my first decent gain. Blinds now 150/300, I was BB and had pocket Q's, 7 players left. UTG with 2990 chips limped w/300 chips. The rest folded to me and I went all-in. UTG called. They had pocket 8's. Now all I needed was for them to not suck out. Flop was a nice 10h Jc Qh, making my Q's a set BUT a 9 would give UTG a gutshot straight. Turn an Ah. Now a K would make for a chopped pot. Not what I was hoping for. River Ad giving me a full house and I bring in the pot of 6130.
Hand 94 I thought I might be able to double up again. I was on the BT w/pocket K's, 6 of us left, 5 get paid. On the bubble!! . High stack UTG bets 3 BB (900) . It folds to me and I call, SB & BB fold. Flop Qs Qc Js. Grrrrr, well my K's are better BUT if UTG has a Q they are in trouble. UTG bets 1950 into the 2250 pot. Now if I call I'll still have a decent chip stack of 4500 or so if I lose but I would really like to be higher than 5th and definitely not find myself busting out on the bubble some hands later, so I fold.
Hand 101. We are now 5.I have Kc 10s in the CO position. Blinds 200/400. Short Stack has 3555 and large stack has 13980. UTG folds and I decide to bet 2 BB (800). BT & UTG call. Flop Jh 9c 6d. We all check. Turn Kd pairing my K's. UTG checks and I bet 1200 into the 2600 pot; BT & UTG fold. I now have 8580 chips, in 2nd place but two other players have just over 7000 & 7500, so my lead is small.
That's about it. Overall I'm pleased with my play and my final table play felt better than it often does. As blinds get big and each hand can make for large shifts in chips I have trouble getting a good feel for what is happening and what I should be doing. Now if I can keep this up that would be nice!

Rush 9 .05/.10 152 hands +$8.06
Overall a good session. Only one big hand loss of $2.20.
Hand 76. SB w/Ac Jh one EP .20 raise and BT caller, I & BB called. Flop 7c 10s 8s. I bet $.35 into the $.80 pot, BB calles EP & BT fold. Turn 9c, giving me a straight 7-J, and though board could be giving BB a flush I feel good about it. I bet $.55 into the $1.50 pot and BB just calls again. No indication he has anything special. He only had $2.89 at start of hand.
River is Kc, making a club flush possible. I decide to give it a shot and bet $1.10 into the $2.60 pot and BB calls. BB shows Qh Jd, having a straight 7-K which he hit Q high on the Turn, and I lose. I have $8.49 of my $10 left.
Hand 85 I win a $1.45 pot with pocket 10's vs pocket 8's and pocket 2's. I was worried on this one as the flop came down Jd 5h Jc. I'd min bet .10 on the flop, they called and we all checked on the Turn & River.
Hand 103. I had Jh 3c on the button. All folded to me so I tried to steal the blinds w/.20 bet. SB folded and BB called. BB has $9.77, just a little more than me. Flop Jc Jd 10h which gives me trip J's with a weak kicker in case BB also had a J (IT HAPPENS!! :-) ). BB bets $.40 into the $.45 pot and I call. I don't want to give up my trip J's yet. Turn Qd which if he has AK or K9 would give BB a straight. BB bets $.80 and I call again. Since he's not betting really big, I decide to stay in the hand. Now he might be slow-playing a hand that will beat me, but I'll take that chance. River is 4h. Shouldn't improve his hand.
To my surprise he check's and since he could beat me in several ways, I breathe a sigh of relief and check. If he wins I don't lose any more $$$. He shows pocket 9's and I win the $2.66 pot. I'm now up over my original $10 with $11.02. Maybe I'll come out ahead after 150 hands. Next comes my best hand.
Hand 132. I have Ac Kc EP2. UTG limps with .10 and I raise to .40, LP1 calls and UTG raises to $1.35. I'm not happy to see that but decide to call and see the flop; LP1 calls as well, making for a nice $4.20 pot. Flop Qc Ah 5c. I like that as it pairs my Ace and gives me a nut flush draw and I wonder how that sets with UTG. Would he have limped w/ AA, KK, or QQ or JJ? AK? I don't know. Instead of betting he checks as do the rest of us.
Turn is 9d.. UTG bets $1.45 into the $4.20 pot, I call, still looking for the flush draw, and LP1 folds. River Jc. I hit my nut flush and I don't see anything out there that could beat me. UTG checks and I try to figure out how big of a bet I might be able to make and get him to call if he has a piece of the board. I decide on $2.45 and UTG calls. UTG has Ad Ks and I win the $11.20 pot!! I now have $17.02.
Hand 143 was a bit scary. I had pocket J's in EP2 position. UTG bets .30, I call, LP2 and SB calls. Flop 8s 6h Jd. I hit a set. SB & BB check to me and I bet $.70 into the $1.50 pot. All fold except LP2 who calls. Turn 8h giving me a FH. I bet $1.45 into the $2.71 pot and LP2 folds. Hmm, that doesn't appear so scary after all. I was worried about the 8's in terms of what he might have, but unless he had Quad 8's I don't see any way he could have won.
Blind stealing wasn't as effective as I hoped it would be. All too often someone before me would jump in killing my chance to steal and too often SB & BB didn't fold. Still it worked a few times and helped with the SB & BB eating into my profits. I was BB 16 times costing me $1.60 and SB 11 times costing me $.55.
Nothing special the rest of the way. Nice to come out ahead my last two times in Rush.

45 SNG $5 + .50 end 24 89 hands
Not much happening for me in this session. Best pocket cards I had Hands 31-Kh Qc and 33-10 10. 2-3 players were in a lot of hands and would bet and raise with poor quality hands that they lucked out on. My 10 10 hit a 6d 2c Kd flop and one of these players went all-in w/1525 and I had to fold He might have had 55 or 10 J which he called all-in with earlier but I didn't want to take that chance.
Hand 39, last hand, was basically an all-in Loki bet, with blinds at 50/100. I had Kc 10d MP CO calls, rest fold and he has Ac 6h, one over card. Flop 5c 6d Qs. Turn 2c. River 2h. I'm done.
Not too sure what else I could have done this session. Between the lack of decent cards and players jumping in much of the time with raises of various sorts I didn't feel I had much choice except for folding, and eventually the blinds were getting too high for my chip stack. I might have done a bit better if I'd played a bit more aggressively, but with the other player playing a wide range of hands and willing to go all-in with little pre-flop, then getting lucky, I might just have busted sooner.
On to better sessions!!

2 HU $5 + .50 Lost 115 hands
This one got off to a poor start. It seemed whatever draws I had they weren't happening. I probably didn't play aggressively enough long enough in some parts of this session.
Hand 2 Up & Down straight draw, Hand 7 A8 vs A4, A4 wins, Hand 8 AK vs 85 hits straight w/6 in flop and 9 7 on turn and river so went the start.
When my chips were getting low, say 500-600 I started going all-in often and raising his limp bet, and that would usually, after a few hands get me back to somewhat decent chip counts as he folded when I did that.
Hand 77. On button w/965 in chips and Ks Js. I bet 3 BB (180) and BB goes all-in. I decide to call knowing I may not have the best hand. BB shows Ad Jc. I need a K or lots of spades to win!! Flop 2h 10h Kd. Well I got my K, now I just have to worry if it will hold, as a Q would give the BB a straight; a few more outs for him. Turn 9d, River 6h. Phew I win and take the lead for maybe the 1st since I started this sessions. BB has 1070 left. Maybe I can win this after all! Well then hand 82 comes up.
Hand 82. I'm BB, 1720 chips, As 5h. SB opens with 2 BB (120) and I call. Flop Ac 7h 9d. I like the Ace BUT I have a very weak kicker. I check and BB bests 60 into the 240 pot. I raise to 210 and SB calls. I'm wondering if they also have an Ace but with a 7 or a 9. Turn 10c. Adding another higher kicker option as well as some straight potential. I decide to test the waters and go all-in and see if they'll fold to hold onto their last 890 chips.
In retrospect that wasn't a very bright call, there are just too many ways for my pair of A's to be beat to risk almost all of my stack. He probably thinks I have A's paired but nothing better. He does choose to call and shows Jd 8c having a gutshot straight on the turn!!! I'm dead. River is 6s. I'm back down to 560 chips.
More back & forth and all-in Max-ing for me. Again BB is folding my all-in bets and/or raises. Then comes hand 106 and I get back into the game.
Hand 106. I'm BB, 690 chips, blinds 40/80. SB bets 2 BB's and I go all-in, SB calls showing Ah 5d. He has one over card. Flop 4c 8d 10h. Nothing for me. Turn 8c, again nothing for me. River Qd and I pair and win. I now have 1540 chips. By hand 115 I'm down to 1100 chips.
Hand 115. I'm the SB w/9c 7c, blinds still 40/80, and I bet 2 1/2 BB (200) leaving me w/900 chips. BB calls. Flop 5d 7d 4h. I have top pair. Straight possibilities show in the flop. I decide to play aggressively and if he missed the flop altogether, hope he'll fold. Instead he calls. I'm concerned he might have an overpair, but what he shows is pocket 4's. He hit a set. :-/ Not looking good for me. Turn 2c, River Jd. Over and Out for me.
I could have played that hand less aggressively but looking at the turn and river only the J was a scary card so I might have pushed on one of those or called a bet from him, particularly if he bet on the turn. I was also getting a bit tired of this session and wanting to make it end soon and that also effected my judgement.

Rush 9 man $.05/.10 153 hands Up $12.18
Overall this was a good session. Made up the $10 I was down the last one plus a bit more. Played 153. Started with $10, at 50 hands had $16.30, at 100 hands had $20.77, and at 153 hands had $22.18.
Hand 57. I had 88 as the SB, MP2 bet $.40, I called and the BB called. Flop was 9s 10h 8s. I had my set BUT a straight could be out there. I bet $.60 into the $1.20 pot, BB raised to $1.20, MP2 folded, and I decided to call. Turn Jh. Even more likely a straight is out there. I check and BB check’s making me think he doesn’t have a straight?? The River is a Jc.
Oh boy, I think, I have a FH!!! That beats a straight! I bet $1.65 into the $3.60 pot and BB goes all-in with $3.40. That’s only $1.75 more so I feel I have to call without worrying too much about what he might have. I thought my FH would win. Turns out he had pocket 9’s to my pocket 8’s!! He has 9’s full of J’s to my 8’s full of J’s. I lose!! That cuts me back to only being up $1.45.
Most of the rest was a lot of little wins with some in a $1-$2 range. One nice hand was hand 93.
Hand 93. I have pocket K's as the BB. UTG bets $.40, all fold to me and I raise to $.80. BB calls. Flop Jh 3h 4s. Good, no A's. Wondering if UTG hit any of that and if that was what made him open. I bet $.75 into the $1.65 pot and UTG goes all with $6.65. That would mean another $5.90 from me w/$6.91 of my $10 left. I think about it for a bit, debating if he might have a set. I didn't feel he had A's or I think he'd have re-raised my raise rather than just call. This is a time when it would be nice to what he has done previously but you don't have that option in Rush. In the end I decide to call figuring if he has set I could draw an overset and runner, runner heart would give me a K high flush.
He turns up Ac Js. I breathe a sigh of relief that I'm not beat at this point and hope he doesn't hit an A or J on the Turn & River. Turn 2d. Now I have to worry about a 5 as well that would give him a straight. :-/ River 10h and I win!! A $13.96 pot comes my way. Phew!! That's adds a little over $7 to my side.
Nothing special happened the rest of the way out.

Rush 6 man .05/.10 & a bit of catching up
I played 252 hands of Rush tonight and for the 1st I was coming out ahead and had even doubled up by original $10 at one point ..... BUT decided to keep playing a few more hands, so my initial 100 kept going! Some quick results on the way: 50- $8.12, 100 - $5,81, 150 - $7.00, 200- $18.80, 252 $0.00.
It was nice to be on the plus side and overall I feel I played decently. I'll go over my downfall hand. I started out with Ah Jh in the BB. UTG limped and middle position bet .45 and SB folded. Since I had a little over $18 I decided to call and UTG folded. MP had just about the cash I did. The flop came jh 10c 10h giving me a nut flush draw. I liked the feel of that! .
I bet $.55 into the $1.05 pot and MP raised to $1.50. I called. Turn was a Kc I checked and MP bet $3. That was richer then I'd have liked but I decided I'd take a chance on the nut flush draw and called. River was a Qh! YEAH I hit my nut flush draw and my mouth was watering at the possibility of doubling up $18+ and I bet $4.45 into the $10.05 pot.
I was trying to pick an amount he might be willing to call if he had something halfway decent, which he had indicated from his betting pattern up to that point and completely scare him off now that a flush possibility had shown up. He raised to $12.64 that would put me all but 45 cents in.
I both liked and disliked that bet. If I call and win I'll get the double up I was hoping for, BUT might he have something that could beat my nut flush. Well, looking at the board the possibility of a FH was there since the board paired 10's on the flop, and I did think of that. He could also have quad 10's but I did not think of that. My hope was that he only had set or a straight so I called. He had Qs 10s thus a FH and I was just about broke. :-/
I'm not completely unhappy that I called but if I'd folded on his raise I'd still have $8.64 (most of my original $10), and if I'd have checked the River and folded to a large bet from him I'd have $13.09, still $3.90 ahead. Good points to keep in mind. Yes I'd have lost the battle but not the war.
I wonder too if I'd been more aggressive on the flop or the turn if maybe he'd have folded, though I think it would have been hard for him to give up trip 10's based on what the board showed, and without the flush I did not have a winning hand. Well more food for thought.
As I've said before, sometimes getting the card you want on the River isn't, in the end, in your best interest. Indeed it may give you what you wanted but also give your opponent an even better hand!
In other sessions I played it's not been a good day (Friday). I lost 2 HU sessions, came in 6th in a $5 18 person SNG , and 4th in a $5 9 person SNG.
Wednesday after that 1st 18 person Tier One lost I played two more. Though I didn't win the $26 token I did take 6th place and won $14, so dollar wise those were OK. My Wed play wasn't great but it wasn't bad and I generally stopped myself from making fatal mistakes much of the time.
I'd gotten behind in posting the sessions and debated catching up, but decided, no, let’s just move forward, and get the next one’s in here in more detail. Although I like writing up my sessions and I do feel that is helping my see how I play better so I’ll do better in the future, it does take a lot of time and time away from PLAYING.

18 SNG Tier One $8 + .80 End 15th 16 hands
Well short lived lesson from last session. :-/ Was off to a good start but couldn't fold KK when it appeared I should.
Hand 5 1st one played. MP1 w/Qs Jd EP's fold, I decide to limp, not sure what I'll do after the flop and what cards I'd like to see, though a Q J would be nice. Short stack after me raises to 60, LP's, Button, & SB fold, I reluctantly call. Flop Qd 5h 4c. BB checks and I bet 105 into the 195 pot, MP2 calls. Turn 4h. I decide to put the short stack all-in if he wants to continue and bet the pot (405). I don't think he has a 4. He calls and shows pocket 10's. I'm ahead and only have to worry about two 10's on the river. River 7d and I win. I now have 2040 chips; a nice start. Nothing more happens until hand 14 when I have pocket K's.
Hand 14 in EP2 I have Ks Kc blinds 25/50. UTG folds and I bet 3 BB (150). Everyone folds except the BB and he calls. Flop 9c 5h 10d. I bet 150 into a 325 pot and BB raises me to 400. I don't know what he has and wonder if he has a set as I bet pre-flop and flop. I didn't consider if he might have pocket A's, but wondered if he might have a set. Turn Ah. That I did not want to see since if he has an Ace my K's are beat. He bets 500 into the 1125 pot and I decide to call. Turn 8c.He goes all in with 905 to the now 2125 pot and definitely against my better judgement I call. and indeed he has an Ace and I'm down to 25 chips. :-/
Indeed I should have folded after he re-raised my post flop bet to 500 because at this point I have no good idea of what he might have and it's unlikely he'd make that kind of bet if he had nothing. Turns out I was wrong about that, as at that point he only had Ac Js, two overcards, to the board and another player who had raised from EP2 pre-flop and bet approx 1/2 the pot post flop.
Unfortunately what he did isn't the problem here. One more time I couldn't give up what looks like a good hand when confronted from large bets from another player suggesting they have SOMETHING THAT WILL BEAT ME, particularly when, in the end they go ALL-IN! Though his cards on the flop didn't indicate he should raise, once he hit the Ace on the turn he did have possible winning cards to bet with.
Still hard learning that lesson, particularly when I hold KK's and likely QQ's as well.

2 HU $5 + .50 End 2 118 hands
For the most part I played ok mixing up my bets. I probably shoould have played more aggressively overall as I feel I let this one get away. Outside of that and one poor play I'll discuss next, I was happy with my play. He folded a lot and we alternated up a couple 100 chips on either side of 1500 much of the session.
Hand 105 was the most costly to me. I had Js 10d on the Button and bet 3 BB (180), BB called. Flop 4d ks 2d. BB checked and I made a limp bet of 60 into the 360 pot and BB raised me to 120.I decided to call in spite of the K overcard. Turn Qd that gave the board 2 overscards plus a possible flush out there. BB bets 240 and instead of folding I call. :-/
Now part of my thought process was I had an up and down straight draw and a flush draw though A, K, or J high flush cards would beat me. Not a good call on my part. Turn 5h giving me nothing. BB bets 300 and I fold, but I've been cut back to 980 chips and we are getting to higher blinds.
Hand 115 is the one I was most proud of myself on for folding where there was an excellent chance my two pair were beaten. On the Button with 985 chips left I had 9s 5d, blinds 40/80 and I limp bet, BB calls. Flop 10d 9c 5s giving me two pair. BB checks as do I. Turn 6d. BB checks again and I bet 80 into the pot of 160, BB calls. River 8s, not helping my hand and if BB has a 7 they now have a straight and my two pair beat. BB bets 480 into the 320 pot. I really want to call here but if I did it would be another one of those times I'd be "willing my cards to win." BB has shown no signs of bluffing, and though he hasn't always had the best cards, his bets have indicated potential winning cards. Also, with a 480 bet instead of going all-in he might think he'll get me to call or maybe raise him all-in. So I fold my "wishing they could win" two pair. I'm still behind in chips but I didn't cripple myself even further!! That's a sign of progress.:-)
If I had bet more agressively post flop I might have got the BB to fold and picked up a few chips instead of losing a few but I was hoping a card might fall on the Turn or River that didn't hurt me but would encourage the BB to bet and build back my chip stack. That didn't happen.

9 SNG $5 + .50 End 3rd 81 hands.
The good news is I played decently and made the money ending up 3rd. Session just finished and the person who played loosest came in 1st, often playing very poor cards. He had VPIP of 46% at the end. Last hand I had AK suited to his pocket 3's and I didn't hit anything.
Hand 16 w/Qd Jh on the Button all folded to me. I limped (50), SB folded, & BB checked. Flop 4c Ks Ac. BB checks and I decide to bet 100 into 125 pot to see if BB has interest & hoping he folds, alas he calls. Turn Ad We both check and Turn Jd, pairing my J. BB bets the pot (325) and though I'd like to see what he has, I fold. Two A's and a K are out there that he could use to easily beat me.
Hand 20. Four hands later I get pocket Q's in EP2. UTG (the player I mentioned at start) limps w/50 and I raise to 150, all fold to the UTG who calls Flop Kd Qd As which make my Q's a set and if UTG has an A or K I'm still in good shape. UTG limp bets 50 and I raise to 200.UTG calls. Turn 6h. No damage to me.UTG checks and I bet 500 leaving me with 425.
UTG has show a wide hand range with some very ragged cards carried to the river so when he reraised me to 1000 that will put me all-in if I call, I'm not giving him any credit for having a winning hand. I'm sure he doesn't have pocket K's or A's, and I didn't think about the 6, which with what I had seen of his range this early is possible. I'm thinking, what could he possibly have that could hurt me, and, as it turns out miss the obvious and call. Turns out he has Jc 10s. He has a straight and has had it since the flop!! & he has slow played it until the turn, likely because I gave him action. At this point I'm feeling pretty glum as it's looking like I'm out of here. River a 6d giving me a FH. PHEW!!! The poker gods were kind to me and I now have a decent chip stack of 2625 to move forward. I was VERY LUCKY!
Even if I had thought about the possibility of him having the straight post-flop I would probably have bet anyway once I had my Q's set. Mainly because of his very loose play and the poor cards I'd seen him show earlier, that, indeed some of the time he got lucky with. Now I can relax a bit and look for decent cards to jump back into the fray again.
Hand 24 was an interesting and nice one. I had 3h 7c on the Button, Blinds 30/60, and it folded to me, so I decided I's try a blind stead and bet 3 BB (180). SB folds but BB calls. Darn. Flop Kd 6h 3c. I hit bottom pair. BB & I check. Turn 10h. BB & I check again. River 7s. That gives me 2 pair and since the BB has been checking I might have a winning hand here. BB bets the pot (390) and I just call. He may not have more than a big pair that I could beat, but he might have 2 pair as well with a bigger pair then me. He shows Qd 10s, only pairing the 10 and I win the pot - 1170 chips.
Hand 46 as SB I had Qc 8s, all had folded to me and I bet 2 BB (200) to the BB who called. Flop 4s Qh 10h. I decided to bet the pot (400) since I had top pair and BB only had 750 chips left. They decided to re-raise me all-in. I pretty much instant called. The call may still have been right for me as I would still have 1655 chips left, BUT I didn't take any real time to consider what the BB might have to risk all their chips and if it was really in my interest to risk another 750 of my hard earned chips. BB had Jd 9s, and open ended straight draw, that I was not pleased to see. .Turn 5d and River 6d so it worked out great for me and I took in the 1900 pot. BUT I WAS VERY LUCKY again.
Nothing else of any real interest until the last hand 81.
Hand 81. I had Ac Kc as the Button, 3 of us left, blinds 100/200. I bet 2 BB (400), SB folded, and BB went all-in. Since this is the wide hand range person I decided I'd call and be all-in as well. They had pocket 3's as I said earlier, and I didn't hit the board .... Qc 4h 7s 5c Qs. Poker Stove has it basicall a toss- up 49/51 in favor of the 3's.
2 HU $5 + .50 Won 9 hands
Decided to play a $5 HU as I'm still feeling pretty confident that I can win them most of the time and I wouldn't mind winning a few extra $$$ over the $2 one's I've been playing lately.
Quick game as you can see. The 1st 4 hands my opponent either folded to my 3 BB opening bets, or his BB without a min bet. Hands 6 & 7 we traded folds on 3 BB opening bets. On hand 8 I raised only 2 BB to change my pace and he went all-in. I folded. On hand 9 as the BB I woke up to pocket K's!! How nice. Even nicer, unless he had pocket A's he opened all-in for1500 chips. I couldn't think of any good reason to fold so I called. If he had AA, so be it, that's poker. He had Qs 4h and the board showed 5h 6d Ah Qh Ks. Making my heart feel very, very good. Only the 3rd heart on the turn plus it being a Q made things a bit scary waiting for the River.

A few comments on Rush
So I've done very poorly with Rush, though I've bled $$$ less than the 1st days I tried it out.
I've found playing for sets often difficult other players would betting or raising 3-4 1/2 times the BB either before or after it got to me. Often I had small pocket pairs (77 or less), that I'd like to limp with, but don't want to risk very much money to see if I might hit a set.
Stealing blinds I had mixed success with. Often the BB would bet 3-4 times the BB or more causing me to fold. So I tried stealing much less often. Similarly with being the BB, all to often some player bets 3 BB's or more and with marginal cards hardly worth calling.
Which brings me to the blinds. I played 514 hands. I may have missed some but this should include most of them. I was BB 56 times, costing me $5.60 and SB 55 times costing another $2.75. That's means I was out $8.35 except for the few times I was able to steal the blinds or the BB was just given to me. When you are marginally going up and down a few $$$ over the session the blinds could have easily eaten any profit you may have made.
So Rush looks like it's good for the site, good for a few of the winning players, but not so good for those of us who are only able to make marginal wins.
It is fun. It doesn't let you really know the players you are playing against, nor is there time to see the results of any round you folded. You can check back to Last Hand History but the game moves so fast there is not a lot of time to look at it.
Time will tell if I should just skip this one all together.

Time will tell if I should just skip this one all together.
Rush 9 person tables $.05/$.10 514 hands -$10.36 (1/26/10)
Rush & I do not do well as evidenced by one more somewhat lengthy session. 100 hand increments might be best for me. I play in $4 increments and had to play 3 of those tonight.
Hand 18 was my 1st downfall. I had pocket A's and bet .30 from MP1, LP1 called everyone else folded. Flop 8s 4d 10d. Didn't hit a set but my A's looked pretty good. I bet .30 again and LP1 called. Turn 6d. Could be a flush out there and if one more diamond falls I'll have the nut flush. I bet .45 into the 1.35 pot and LP1 raises me to $2.70. I decide to call. I will admit that I was enamored with my A's and potentil flush draw and didn't think very much about what she might have. Certainly it would have been best if I'd folded to that re-raise. River was a 4c pairing 4's on the board. I checked and LP1 went all-in with $1.44..I called and that put me all-in. Again not a wise decision on my part. At best I have pocket A's and the board shows a lot of possibilities that could be that. & sure enough that is what the case is. LP1 has pocket 4's and has hit quads. They hit a set on the flop, so I was spinning my wheels in the water and didn't even know it. BOOM $4 down the drain. I reload another $4
Hands move along with some ups and downs and at hand 51 I have $4.23 slightly more then my reload. I have Ac Ks in the CO position. Everyone folds to me and bet .30. The Button folds, the SB raises to .90 and the BB folds. I call. Flop Kh 6d 3h, pairing my K that has an Ace kicker. SB bets .90 and I decide to go all-in w/$3.33 and the SB calls me. SB has $25.27 at the start and they can easily double me up, which is partly why I decided to make that all-in raise. They show pocket Q's and I'm feeling pretty good about that. Turn is an 8s and the River Ah giving me two pair. I double up and now have $7.99, just a penny under the money I've put in. Alas it is not going to stay in my hands. :-/
I reach my high point at hand 72 where I now have $7.39. I have Kh Qd in the CO position. MP1 bets .20 and I call, Button and SB fold, and BB calls. Flop 2d 10c Qs, pairing my Q that has a K kicker. MP1 bets .50 and I raise to $1. BB & MP1 fold. I now have $8.23 and am up .23 at the moment.
By hand 100 I was down to $6.78. At hand 200 I was now $5.88.At hand 250 $5.21. By hand 300 I had slipped to $3.97. At 350 I now had $1.60. This is mostly due to drippling it away to check out flops because of other players betting ..20, .30, .35 cents and not wining very often and when I did it was very small pots.
Continuing from last night. Decided I was to tired to finish this up.
Hand 359 I had a nice double up w/As Js vs 3s 3c. I limped under the gun and decided to call the Button's raise to .45. Flop was Ad 7h 8c. I decided to go all-in with my last $1.05 and the button called. I now had $2.94.
At hand 390 I made my next costly play. I had Kd Qd from the HJ position w/$2.24. Everyone folded to me and I bet 3 BB (.30) all folded and the BB called. Flop As Ks 9d. I opt to bet the pot (.65) in spite of the Ace and BB calls. Turn 8c. BB &I check. River 6c. BB bets the pot ($1.95) and for unclear reasons to me now I decide to call with my last $1.29. BB shows Ac 7s.
Looking at my play I'd say the pot bet of flop was to see what the BB would do and hoping he would fold if he didn't have the Ace. He didn't fold. He could have the Ace, a King, or maybe a spade flush draw. He only had $3.19 to my $1.29 at that point, so though different amounts I didn't feel he was just going along because he a bit more money then I did as I might if he had $10-$20. Calling him on the river makes no sense to me. It was more one of those "trying to will my cards to be winners" situation then anything else and maybe I was just too tired and should have quit. I add another $4 one more time so I can play to 500 hands.
At hand 400 I had $3.95 left. hand 406 I had pocket K's in the SB position. Everyone folded to me and I bet 2 BB (.20), BB called. Flop 4s 6d 6s. I min bet .10, BB calls. Turn Jd. I min bet .10 again & BB calls. River 10s. I make one last min bet .10 and BB calls one last time. He shows 10d Js having paired on the turn & river. Fortunately for me the board paied with 6's and I had the best 2 pair winning a $.94 pot.
I'm a bit surprised he didn't raise me anywhere along the way as he had $10, if not on the turn, surely on the rriver. Maybe he was concerned I had trip 6's on the flop.
Hand 408 I chopped a pot w/Ah Jd vs Qd Jc with the board showing 7s 3d 7h Js 7d. BB bet .30 on the turn & I and CO called. After the 7 showed up on the river BB bet .80 into a pot of $1.30. I called and CO folded. I had a FH, 7's full of J's and the only thing that could be me would be a 4th 7, or pocket Q's, K's, or A's and the betting had not gone in a way to suggest any of those where out there. I now had $4.72.
Just a few hands later, hand 411, I play stupid again. In BB w/Kd 8s, MP1 bet .35 I call. Flop is 7d 10d 4d, giving me a 2nd nut flush draw. I check and MP1 bets .70, I call. Turn Jc. I check again and MP1 bets $1. I opt to call looking for that 2nd nut flush draw and not thinking a lot about what MP1 may have. After all he might already have the nut flush. He has certainly been betting the flop and the turn like he has SOMETHING and that SOMETHING can beat me even if I hit the flush. River is a 7s pairing the board. I check and MP1 checks too. Slightly encouraging but I only have K high. He shows 9d 9h and wins with two pair and leaving me with $2.67.
He didn't have as good of cards as I expected so I'm assuming his aggressive betting came from my checking and his hoping I'd get off my hand before something even better might show up to beat his pocket 9's. When I find myself in losing situations (down $8 before this hand) I tend to get afraid to be bet as aggressively as I've been stung by that in previous hands, particularly in this Rush format. Maybe this is an area I need to work with Mark B?
Hand 431 I had Ad Ks in MP2 UTG bet 2 BB (.20) and EP2 went all-in w/$5.14. I decide to risk my remaining $2.47 and call hoping he didn't have AA or KK and that I had, at least, the best 2 over cards. He shows As Qd. Better then I expected for me, I only have to worry about his hitting a Q. .Flop, Turn, and River showed 6h Jd 4s Kh 3h. I wind and now have $4.94. Feels good to win one!!
Next hand I have pocket Q's in HJ position all fold to me and bet .35. SB calls. Flop Jh 10s Qc. I hit my set but that is a scary flop. There could already be a straight out there and if not that straight draws..I decide to go all-in w/$4.59. They have $10.72 and if they call and I win I can double up, but they fold. I now have $5.34 and less then 70 hands to go.
.Hand 449 I have As Qd as SB. CO & Button bet .40, I call, BB folds. Flop 6d Js 9s. CO checks and Button bets $1.30 into the $1.22 pot. I fold. I would have liked to get in on the action but felt it too risky; button has slightly less money then I did. So at hand 450 I had $4.49. 50 to go.
Hand 454 I'm SB w/6h 10h EP2 limps w/.10 rest fold to me and I & BB call. Flop 7h Kh 5h giving me a flush, 10 high in my hand. I bet the pot (.30) and EP2 calls. Turn Qh. I'd rather not seen that card as EP2 could now have a flush well and if he has Ah or Jh he wins. I check & EP2 checks. Hmmm. River is an 8h, now we both have flushes. I decide to only check in case EP2 does have a Ah or Jh, though if they did maybe they would have bet the turn. Anyway I didn't want to lose all of my cash if I was wrong. EP2 turns over Ks Qd and I win. I have $4.93. Maybe I'll stay positive this time?
Hand 459 in MP I have pocket 6/s and bet .10, MP2 after me raises to .45. Everyone else, including me folds.
Hand 463 in MP I have Ac Jc and bet .10, only BB calls. Flop 3d 2d 6c.BB bets .20 into the .25 pot I call. Turn is Qs, BB checks and I check. River is 7s. BB checks & I check again. BB shows 7h 6s, having 2 pair.
Hand 468 is another one where I lose $$$. UTG i have pocket 10;s and decide to limp bet .10. CO calls & BB checks. Flop 6s 7h 8s, all under cards to my pair. BB bets the pot (.35), I call and CO raises to .90. BB folds & I call. I have an over pair and chance at gutshot straight. I'm assuming CO doesn't have a 45 or 9 10, though he might have a high card with a 5 or 9 giving him a straight draw. Turn is 8h. I & CO check. Turn is 5s. I still have only the 10 pair. the board shows possible straights as well a possible flush, neither of which I could beat.I check and CO bets $1.50 into the $2.50 pot. Ring the magic twanger froggy!!! I call!! Now he still had $8.29 left, so it was a modest bet compared to his stack. Likely he is not bluffing and has one of the aforementioned possible hands, so i should FOLD. I could go all-in with my last $3.58, but if he has any of those hands I doubt it would have caused him to fold (just $2.08 more). He shows the bad news As 7s. He' been on a nut flush draw since the flop. I'm now down to $2.08.
Hand 479 I won a little back w/Ad Qs as SB. UTG bet .25 Table folded to me and I called & BB folded. Flop Qc 10s 3h. I decided to all-in with my last $1.78 and if called and I win double up. UTG folds. I have $2.34. 20 hands to go.
Hand 483 I have AQ again, Ad Qs as the button. UTG bets .35, MP2 calls, I call, SB & BB fold.. Flop 3c 8s Jc. I have two overcards. UTG checks and MP2 bets .55 into the $1.12 pot. I'd like to challenge him but decide to fold as does UTG. $1.99 left, 17 hands to go.
Hand 485 in EP2 I have pocket 5's & open limp w/ .10. All fold to the CO who raises to .50. Again I would like to play but feel pocket 5's too weak to continue.
I actually end up playing 514 hands and have $1.64 left of the $12 I put in for a net LOSS of $10.36. My bankroll is not doing well with my Rush playing.
Hand 18 was my 1st downfall. I had pocket A's and bet .30 from MP1, LP1 called everyone else folded. Flop 8s 4d 10d. Didn't hit a set but my A's looked pretty good. I bet .30 again and LP1 called. By hand 100 I was down to $6.78. At hand 200 I was now $5.88.At hand 250 $5.21. By hand 300 I had slipped to $3.97. At 350 I now had $1.60. Hand 468 is another one where I lose $$$. UTG i have pocket 10;s and decide to limp bet .10. CO calls & BB checks. Flop 6s 7h 8s, all under cards to my pair. 2 HU $2 + .15 End 1st 10 hands
This had a nice but somewhat lucky ending for me. I played aggressively with 3 BB, 2 BB, and limp bets when I was the small blind and after a couple of hands my opponent was betting in a similar fashion.
Hand 4 I was the BB w/Qh Jh and the Button bet 3 BB (60) I called. Flop: 3h Qd 10h pairing my Q's and giving me a flush draw. I decided to check to see what he did and he bet the pot (120) and I raised him to 240. He folded.
Hand 6 as the Button w/Ad Qd I bet 3 BB (60) like I had done a few times before but didn't get any action as he folded.
The last hand as the Button I had 7c 5c and decided to only bet 2 BB (40) this time and he raised me to 120. I had a small chip lead and decided to call. This is where my luck on this hand started. Flop 5s 5h 6h giving me trip 5's. He bets 240 and I decide to raise him to 480 expecting him to fold or call and he calls. I'm assuming he has something like a high pair. I didn't think about whether he might have a set or not. I thought my trip 5's should be pretty good. Turn Jh which is not a card I wanted to see. He could have a possible flush now. He goes all-in with his last 840 chips and I call, which if I lose would leave me only 120 chips. Not good, but I decided to gamble that he didn't have a flush. I was right BUT he had Kh Jd giving him a flush draw on the river. That makes me feel uncomfortable, but otherwise I had him beat at this point. The River is a 7h giving him the flush but also hitting my 7c giving me a FH and the win. That was the 2nd part of the luck.
In retrospect I'm not sure why I decided to call his raise to my initial bet pre-flop with the two cards I had except that if the flop wasn't helpful I could easily fold and my chip stack would still be ok w/1520 chips. Still why should I waste 120 chips at that point?
9 SNG $5 + .50 End 6th 51 hands
Another miserable ending to a SNG. 6 of us left, Blinds 50/100, I'm SB w/short stack with Qh 10s. CO bets 2BB's (200) and I decide to call. Flop is 5s 10d 10c. I decide to check and CO check's. Turn Jc. I bet 100 into 500 pot, CO calls. River is 8d. I decide to go all-in with my last 770, CO calls and has 7h 9s. Hits a gutshot straight on the river, I'm over and out!!!
Looks like I should have played that hand more aggressive at the flop, but I thought if I slow played I'd be able to get all my chips in and if lucky double up. Less certain if I'd been able to get him off his hand on the turn as he has had some lucky draws a few times in earlier hands He was willing to bet and raise w/4c 8c for a flush draw on the turn and river. He hit the river and won.
Hmmm, I still hve the session up and he's HU now. Had a decent chip lead, now they are about even. He just told the other person that he's not a fish, just plays very loose because this is a $5 table. He just came in first. :-/
Had pocket 5's twice early and pocket 8's. Limped in and either had to fold due to later raises or not hitting the flop. Mixed results trying to steal, only successful a couple of times.
Hand 34 had pocket K's MP and went all-in with my 740 chips. No callers.
Hand 36 UTG had pocket A's. Bet 2 BB (160) of my 830 stack and got 2 callers. Flop was 5s Kh 2h and I went all-in with my remaining 670 chips. They both folded. Not sure if I could have got more but didn't want to risk getting sucked out by under betting the flop..
Hand 41 I had Kd Js in HJ position and decided to limp in. SB called & BB checked. Flop 6d 8s Qd. All checked. Turn As. Button decided to bet 160 into the 240 pot. I thought about it for awhile and decided I'd take a change to see if I could draw a 10 on the river. River 8h. . Button & I checked. Button had Ac Jh & won.
Hand 42 I had Ac 7c and hand 43 I had Ac 8c. Decided to llimp on both to see if a nut flush might show up. Nothing on the flop in 42 and BB raised all-in pre-flop on 43.
Had some small wins between there and hand 51.

18 SNG Tier One $8 + .80 End 9th 58 hands
Well that session had a very disappointing and depressing end for me!! I'd been playing very tight just about the whole session. Partly because I didn't have decent cards, the player on my left jumping into almost every pot and either the player to my right or someone else along the way betting 3 BB's when I was the BB with no cards to make it worthwhile to call them.
Hand 4 I was the BB w/Ad 2c, 4 limpers including the Button & SB. .Flop 2d 2s 10c give me trip 2's w/ an Ace kicker. Everyone checks to the Button who limp bets 20 into the 150 pot, SB & I call, other two fold. Turn 5c. SB checks and I bet 105 into the 240 pot & Button calls.SB folds. River 6s. I bet 200 into the 450 pot, button calls. Button shows Qc 10d, pairing the board 10. My trip 2's win and I have 1970 chips.
Hand 26 as BB w/KcQc UTG bets 3 BB's, I fold.
Hand 27 as SB w/Ah 9d Button limps, I limp and BB who is player to my left goes all-in. I fold.
Hand 37 UTG I have pocket 5's and limp. BB calls. FLop 7c 2c 4c. I bet 1/2 pot of 200 and BB folds.
Hand 44 as BB w/Ad 8h UTG once again bets 3 BB's it folds around to me and I fold.
This has me wondering if player to my left has seen my VPIP is near 0 or has been most of this session and is deciding that if he bets 3 BB's he can expect me to fold and hopefully the rest of the folks along the way. Or is he just happening to get decent hands those times? I don't know.
Hand 51 as SB I have pocket 4's and limp to the BB and he goes all-in with 1375 chips to my 1335 chips. I fold. Again not knowing if they have good cards or what they see from my previous behaviors.
Hand 52 on the Button, all fold to the Short Stack person on my right who goes all-in with 135 chips. I call and the BB folds. Flop 5c 3c 5s.CO has Kh 9s. Turn Jc and River 8h. I win small pot.
Hand 57 as Button I get some good cards As Ks. I bet 3 BB's and player to my left goes all-in with 1605 chips. This time I decide to call them, partly feeling a bit impatient and tired of them always making big raises and/or bets on me when I've had nothing to fight back with in the past. They have pocket 3's (3s 3h). Now if I can only hit an Ace or King! Flop 3d Ad 2h. Well I pair my King but the hit a set for their 3's. Turn 2d, River 9h. I'm now left with 15 chips!! :-/
Next hand, hand 58 I had Kc 4s and just called. SB & BB were in and just checked on the Turn and the River. Flop 7d 6s Qh. Turn 10h and River 5c. SB mucked their cards and BB showed 8c 4h, giving them a 4-8 straight. Fitting huh? Why shouldn't 8 4 beat K 4???
Maybe good discipline says I should have folded that AKs instead of calling all-in. I'm not sure. If I had won I'd have definitely been in position to win one of the $26 tokens and at worse 6th position $14 and I did need some more chips to get into the top 6.
At this rate I may not be playing the Tucson Open this week!! I now need to get back my $8.80 to keep my bankroll steady.

2 HU $2 + .15 1st 17 hands
This was sort of interesting and I expected that I was going to lose the final hand. I had one earlier hand where I might have been able to end it but decided to give up all my chips "just in case" they had two cards I knew would beat me. Nothing unusual the 1st few hands. I varied my betting from calling to 3 BB to mix it up.
Hand 8: I had Qs 6c as the BB, SB limped and I called. Flop was Qh Qc 5s. I decided to slow play it and checked, SB did same. Turn As. Darn, I was hoping to bet on the Turn, but with an A popping up decided to check again, SB did too. I fet if I made any bet they would likely fold. The River was a 6d giving me a FH. I bet the pot (40) and to my surprise they bet 4x my bet (160). The good news was they must have something!!
I thought maybe they had hit an A on the turn and were just now betting it having AA w/the Q's on the board.I decided to double their raise to 320 and they raised to 500, I reraised to 670 and they reraised to 840. At this point I could have gone all in on them and expect them to call (I had 970 chips to their 480 left), but decided to stop a moment and think about what might they have that they are betting so heavy on AND what might they have that would BEAT me instead of just jumping all-in into the fray and suddenly find myself chip crippled.
I had a nice full house of Q's full of 6's, BUT if they had a Q and maybe an A as well (I didn't think they'd have had pocket A's as well or they'd have bet more strongly earlier), and if they did they would have Q's full of A's and I'd lose. So I decided to just call their last bet and I'd still have 800 chips left. Not great but better then if I'd went all in and lost and had only 320 chips left. PLUS I was pleased with myself for taking the time to think it out BEFORE I acted.
Turns out they had Qd 7d, a hand very close to mine and if I'd not hit the FH they would have won! That left them with 480 chips.
Hand 10 I gave up a few chips seeing if pocket 6's might hit somewhere on the board of 8d 3h Js 5s 5h. We both checked the River and they had paired the J and won.
Hand 14 as BB with Kc 10h I raised SB's limp to 2 BB's. They called. Flop 2d 7d 3d. I made a limp bet just to see what the SB would do and they went all-in, so I folded.
Hand 17 the last one. I was the SB w/Kd Jc and bet 3 BB (90), BB called. Flop 4h Ah Kh. A scarey flop. I hit my K but there was an A out there as well as possible flush. BB decided to go all-in with the last 550 of their chips. I thought a bit about it but decided to see what they had as I'd still have the chip lead if they won. Not sure if that was reasonable on my part or not as I had no real reason to expect they didn't have something good, or did I? They were certainly good cards if they wanted to try a bluff and pick up 180 chips and by going all in they would feel it likely I would fold. Indeed I might have, but instead I called.
They had Js 8c. Turn was 9d and the River a 10s. I won!!! They were bluffing after all. :-)

9 SNG $2 + .15 End 7th 34 hands
I may be tireder then I think I am. I did not play this session well at all for the most part.
Started out OK folding A 10o from the BB and A 8o from the SB on hands 3 & 4 w/prior players betting at least 3 BB's. On hand 6 I was able to steal the blinds. Over time I noticed the player 2 down from my left was playing no hands and only one session. The player to my immediate left also was letting me steal their blinds on my1st early attempts.
Hand 12 I had pocket 6's as the BB and checked to an MP & SB limpers. Flop 2h 5s 9c. Only one over card so I decided to bet 75 into a 120 pot to see where I stood. EP folded and SB called. Turn 5h. I bet 75 again into a 270 pot, SB called again. River As. SB bet 320 into 420 pot and I folded.
Then on hand 14 tried a sort of blind steal as the LP limped and I bet a little over 3 BB (130) as the Button. SB & BB folded but LP called. Flop Qc 3h 4h we both checked. as we did on the 3d Turn & 6d River. He had A 8.
On hand 15 I did try a real blind steal from CO betting just a little over 3 BB's (125) w/10s 8d. Button & SB folded. BB called. Flop 9d 9h 2d, we both check as we did on the 5h Turn and 7s River. They had J 8.
There isn't a lot of good reasons for betting into hand 14 with the limp before me. On hand 15 I felt there was a good chance of both the button & SB folding based on what I'd seen of them so far, so only the BB was a bit iffy. Still I'd have saved myself 255 chips for later use if I'd have just folded and waited for a better situations.
Hand 16 there's no logic beyond just checking out two suited connectors (6h 7h). LP behilnd me limped as did I.and the CO; BB checked. Flop 2c 7d Ac.LP checked 1st and I decided to take a crack at the pot (I had middle pair) and bet just under 1/2 the 225 pot (100). Maybe the other 3 would fold and I at least had a pair. Both did fold and I was successful and won a 225 pot.
Hand 29 I had pocket 2's as the SB. The fellow 2 to my left limped and I decided to raise to 3 BB. Not sure why I did that. Since he had played no or almost no hands up to that point any action from him should have been a clue to do no more then check. I think I mis-read what was happening, looking at it now. I wasn't paying close enough attention and took his limp as his being the BB even though I couldn't be the SB if that was the case. In any event he went all-in to my bet (as I thought, but actually a raise to him). I, of course, at that point folded.
Hand 30, on the button w/QsJh I decided to limp in with the UTG limper, SB limps and BB checks. I knew when I decided to do that that I really didn't know what I would do after the flop and what I wanted the flop to look lke for me to continue as lots of hands people might bet with would easliy beat me, such as AQ, AJ, KQ, KJ.
The flop was 3c Jc 10d. Darn, I have top pair but not sure where I stand. SB & BB check, UTG bets 120 into the 240 pot. I decide to call, SB & BB fold. Turn is Kc. That gives me an open ended staright draw, and what I didn't look closely at here is the possible flush or flush draw UTG might have. We both check the Turn which surprised me a bit; I expected UTG to make some kind of bet. River was a 6c, worsening UTG having a flush situation. UTG makes a min bet of 60 and I feel I have to call to see "for sure" what they have. Turns out they have pocket 5's, one 5 a club. That leaves me with 805 chips.
Lastly hand 34. In EP I have pocket 8's UTG limps as do I, rest fold until the SB goes all-in w/720 chips, BB then goes all-in with 2105 chips and UTG folds. Now you would think at this point I would fold, but no I don't. I decide to call. SB shows pocket 9's and BB shows Ah Qd. What does Poker Stove say about it pre-flop? Well I have an 18% chance to win. Flop was 7d Jd Jh Turn Qc and River 6d.
Once more down and out of the money. That's when I decided I must be tiredier then I thought I was. Not that the plays before this hand were the best, but the only real option I had after the SB & BB went all in as to fold my pocket 8's. I KNOW THIS, REALLY!!!! But I didn't act on it.
OK that's it for today. Off to bed for a while.

Well what can I say? Generally I played OK except for one hand where I should have backed off of an all-in bet on the river.
In early play he went all-in a number of times. I always folded so I don't know if he had anything or not but my cards weren't good enough that I wanted to risk all my chips.
Hand 8: My best hand. I had Kc 4h on the button and raised 2 BB(40) (I'd been varying my button bets form limps to 3 BB's). He called and the flop was 4d 4c 2d .... trip 4's for me. He bet 40, I called. Turn 4s. I now had quad 4's. He bets 60 and agian I called figuring any raise by me would close him off. River 2c. He bets 120 and I raise him to 240 and he calls. I take the 760 pot. Nothing else much happens until hand 21.
Hand 21: I have Qs 6 d on the button and bet 2 BB (60) he calles. Flop 5h 9c 7c, giving me a gutshot straight draw. He bets 60 and I call to see the turn. Turn Qh which pairs my Q with a weak kicker. He bets 120 and I decide to raise him to 240 to see if I can get him off the hand but he calls. River 4c.
He goes all in and I decide to call without enough thought as to what he might have. There is a possible flush draw, though possible, less likely a staright. He is willing to risk all his chips!! and I'm not really listening and call. He also has a Q with a weaker kicker then me, but his 4s is paired on the board, so I lose to his 2 pair. If I had folded we'd be back to even 1500 chips apiece instead of me down now down to 720.
Hand 25 on the button I have pocket J's and decide to go all in with my 585 chips. He folds.
Hand 26 I have As Ks and raise his limp to all-in. he folds.
Hand 27: I'm on the button w/Ac 4c and decided to bet all-in with my 645 chips. He calls and has Jh 10d. I have one over card. Flop is 3h Qs 5h Turn 9d and the River an 8h giiving him a straight. End game I lose.
I could have waited for maybe a better hand but with Ax suited I decided to give it a try.
Still having trouble not thinking through my opponents all-in bets!! Someday I hope to not need to write about this leak anymore. :-)

Rush 9 person .05/.10 109 hands start $4 + $4 end down -$.74
Played 106 hands, was BB 12 times and SB 15 times. In ordinary cash play either of those should have happened only about 12 times.
One big all-in loss w pocket Q's.on hand 4. I'm the button. Didn't hit a set. Flop 7c 6d 9s Other 2 check, I decide to bet $.60 into the $1.35 pot. UTG folds and CO raises me to $1.20.and I decide to reraise all in for $4.02 he calls and shows pocket 10's. Turn is an 8 which gives him a gutshot straight. River is a 4s and I'm broke! :-(
Decide to put in another $4.
Was mainly looking for pocket pairs to hit a set to play but also played better cards such as AK to see a flop as long as there was no big bet before me. If I had small pocket paris I'd fold to any $.30 bet; more often I was folding to $.45 bets. Pocket pairs only showed up 8 times and I was only able to play them 5 times. Only had one set w/AA on the river, the others won by being best pair.
Hand 20: AKo lost to pocket 10's .
Hand 29 w/AKs in HJ position, bet 3 BB (no limpers), rest folded.
Hand 54 w/AQs in SB postion called EP limp. BB called too. Flop Qh Jc 9c. I bet $.10 into $.30 pot, BB folded and EP called. Turn 7d. We both check and the river is 3c.I bet $.25 into $.47 pot; EP folds and I win $.47.
Hand 56 my best hand. I have pocket A's as Button. All fold to me and I make a small 2 BB bet ($.20), SB raises to $.70, BB folds. I decide to reraise all-in with $3.06 and BB calls showing 5h 6h. Flop is 2s Kh 9c, Turn 6s giving SB a pair. River is Ac. Only set I hit, but is overkill as long a 5 or 6 didn't show up on the river. I win $6.18 and have a little over half the original $4 I lost back.
Hand 75 I have pocket 9's in middle postion. SB and I limp in, BB checks. Flop is 3s 6c 2h. SB bets $.10 and BB & I call. Turn is a 2s. SB bets $.20 and BB & I call. My assumption is neither have a 2. River is a 5 and SB bets $.30. BB and I call. Again I'm assuming neither have better than 55 or 66. I could be wrong but all were small bets. With only 99 high I didn't feel it was prudent to bet more in case my assumptions were wrong. SB had A6s and BB had 53. My 9's were best and I won $1.96.
Hand 84. I had As Kc UTG. I limped with a $.10 bet, 2 other players called along with the SB & BB. The flop was 10s 5s 2c. SB, BB & I checked. HJ bet $.30 into a $.50 pot and CO called. BB. SB & myself folded. Although I had 2 overcards I didn't feel it was worth pursuing further. Even if I paired I couldn't be sure they didn't have something better.
Now that I can see how that hand played out, there was a Kd on the turn and a 4c on the river, which would have given me a pair of K's. They bet $.50 on the turn and then a $1.70 on the river making a nice pot of $5.14. HJ had Qd 10d and CO had Qs Js. Neither very good starting cards in a game like Rush. Which I find is one of the things that makes it hard to play as it's difficult to tell what your opponents may really have, and my early experience was they more often than not had better cards then me even if I had AK.
Hand 88. I had Ah 5h in CO postion. All folded to me and I decided to bet $.20. Button & BB folded, SB called. Flop: 6h 9d 7d. SB bets $.30 and I decide to call. Not sure why now. At best I have a gut shot straight draw and a runner, runner flush draw. Anyway that's what I did. Lo & behod turn is an 8 which gives me my straight BUT opens up the possiblity of the SB having a flush or flush draw.
They check & I check. Not being sure about their having a flush decided to be cautious. Flop is a 3s. SB checks again. I think about it and decide they likely don't have that flush so I bet almost 1/2 the pot $.50 and SB folds. I win $1.03.
Hand 97, had small $.24 win.
And that was it. Would have been nice to continue and get it all back, but I'd decided before hand I'd play 100 hands and stop. Too often in the past I've let myself play on in cash games after having won a bit, only to find I let myself give it back again.

9 SNG $2 + .25 End 4th 42 hands.
Decent play until last hand, when I fell into that pattern of not serously enough considering what my opponent might have when they went all in. Post flop they bet the pot, I raised them 2x their bet and they went all-in.I called. I had 10c Js and the flop was 10h 6h 3d. I had top pair. Turns out they had top pair too but with an A kicker ... Ad 10d. Over and out for me!
At the bubble (hand 27) we were fairly close in chips: I had 4000, other players had 3675, 2350, and 2475 with blinds of 40/80.
Hand 29 I tried a blind steal from the button betting 240. SB raised all in and I folded.
Hand 31 blinds were now 50/100. SB raised to 3BB and I called wth Kc 7d. Flop was Ah 6h 10c. BB bet half the pot (300) and I folded.
Hand 33 on button I had Ac Qh.and bet 3 BB (300), SB called. Flop was 5c 2d 7c. SB bert 500 into 700 pot and I folded. They showed they had pocket Q's. Good fold by me, but now my chips are down to 3020 to the other players 4415, 2880, and 2935. Still close particularly for the bottom 3 of us.
Hand 37, again on button I have As 5s and bet 2 BB (200). SB & BB call. Flop is 2d 6d Jh. BB bets pot (600) & I & SB fold.
Next couple of hands I pick up a few chips, then comes hand 42 already described.
Not much else to say on this one. Prior to that play I felt I did well and folded a number of hands that I might have bet other times. A couple of those I would have won on, BUT at the point I had to make a decision calling a bet was not reasonable.
