This one did not go well. The other player was very aggressive making large bets, big raises and I didn't have any really decent cards. Last hand looked like I might possibility get back into the game as long as he didn't have a bigger club than mine but the River saved him and killed me.
Hand 17. I'm SB w/8c 9d and 745 chips. I decide to limp in for 30 and he raises me to 90; I call. That's not been an unusual play on his part and I rarely get to see what he's holding. Before you say I should have made a bigger opening bet, well, it wouldn't have made any difference. I could have gone all-in and he would have called. Flop Ac 3c 9c. Hmmm, I have middle pair and a flush draw, though my club 8 isn't very strong. BB bets 120 into the 180 pot and I call. Turn 2c. I have my flush, now does he as well? BB checks and I bet 225 into the 420 pot and BB calls. River 2h. BB checks and I bet 300 of my last 325 chips and BB raises to 600, so I put my last 25 in. I'm thinking he's got the club flush as well. BB shows Ad Ah. Shoot. I had him till the River, no club. But the board pairing the deuce gives him a FH and I'm done!! :-/ Not much else to say.
