Tour 54 $1.25 + .15 KT6 End 25 14 hands Sat MiniFTOPS #28

Alas an A4s couldn't beat an A3o. Of course the A3o hit two pair on the flop. I was doing ok up to that point and overplayed my As 4s on the 10c Ad 3h flop. Three of us were in after the flop. BB checked, I bet 210 into the 390 flop and the CO raised me to 540 and I decided to re-raise them to 870, hoping they weren't serious. Yes I know my Ace with a 4 kicker can be beat by LOTS of cards the CO is likely to have. The CO re-raises all-in w/their last 3380 chips and though I should have folded here I called. I was surprised to see their Ac 3s, expecting they had the Ace with a much better kicker rather than having hit two pair on the flop. Turn 6h, River 8c. I didn't suck out and was outta there.

Now, one of the things I forget when I let myself get into these battles is the reason I went in pre-flop in the first place. I have nut high flush if I hit, if I don't hit that, or something very close to a good draw, then I should just fold BUT having hit the Ace on the flop, I let myself forget all that, as well as, that if anything in the flop was to hit, I want the 4 to do something, NOT the ACE. 'nough said.
