2 HU $2 + .15 End 2nd 14 hands

Overall I played well but the cards going to the River did me in last hand.

Hand 14. I'm BB w/Ad 7c, 1400 chips. SB open raises 3 BB (60), I call. Flop Ac 7s 3h. Nice flop for me, I have top two pair. I bet 1/2 the pot (60) and SB raises me to 120, I re-raise to 250 and SB calls. Turn 6h. Looks good to me and I bet 1/2 the pot (310) and SB calls. River 8c. That does suggest a possible straight, but I decide to go for it with my two pair and bet all-in w/my last 800 chips. SB calls and shows pocket 8's (8d 8s), hitting their set on the river. Session over.

I could have bet less on the River or just checked to see what the SB would do but I'm not sure I'd have folded if he bet big. I might have bet even larger on the Turn, but if he was willing to put in the 310 I feel he'd have put in even more and would not have been willing to give up his pocket 8's.
