I didn't do as well as I'd hoped I'd do. I don't feel I had any terrible plays, but cards generally didn't go my way. Also had an odd set of players in that 5 of the players had VP of 0 after 40 some hands. What is more odd now, I'm looking at PT for my last hand and it says I only played 42 hands when I was on my last hand, number 82. Is there a problem with this beta (30.8) of PT? Anyway hand 31 was my 1st big hiccup and rest of the sessions was trying to make up for this loss. Prior to this hand I was going a little up and/or a little down.
Hand 31. I'm BB w/Ah Kc and 1510 chips. UTG & MP2 limps in, rest fold, I raise to 160 and UTG re-raises all-in w/1010 chips. I think about it a bit wondering if they might have AA or KK or some other high pair and decide to call. They show Ad 3d. Much weaker cards than I expected. Flop 9d 8s 10s. So far so good. Turn 3h. They pair their 3. River 5d and just like that I'm down to 540 chips.
Hand 39. I went all-in w/Jh 10d vs 8h 8s and managed to hit a J on the River to win and get back to 1115 chips.
Hand 48 I was up to 1440 chips w/another AQ (Ad Qs), UTG. I opened w/a 2 BB bet, EP2 & MP2 called. Flop 9s 8s 4s. Hmmm, I have a 3rd high nut flush draw. I decide to test the waters and bet 200 into the 375 pot and both EP2 and MP2 call. Darn. I was hoping they'd fold. Turn 10c. I now have a gutshot straight draw as well. Since both called my last bet I decide to check, EP2 checks, and MP2 bets the pot - 975. I decide to fold figuring the chances of my having the winning hand are slim at best. EP2 raises all-in w/1365 chips and MP2 calls. EP2 shows 10h Js and MP2 shows As 8h. I would not have won the flush if it had hit. River 6h. EP2 wins. I lose a few chips and am back to 1140. A bit of ups and downs and at hand 76 I have 1580 chips.
Hand 76. I'm BB w/Ac Kc. Action folds to MP1 who bets 3 BB (240), MP2 calls, rest fold to me and I call. I wonder what prompted the 3 BB bet and call out there. Flop 2s 2c 5c. No hit for me but I now have the nut flush draw. I decide to check to see what the other two players will do and they both check as well. Turn Js. No help to me. I check again and MP1 bets 640, MP2 folds and since I have the nut flush draw I decide to call. I could have gone all-in with my last 660 but felt he'd likely just call that as he had 6,675 chips. River 8h. Again no help to me. I check & he checks showing 6c 6h. A small pair takes me down!
Next hand, 77, I'm SB w/660 chips & Qs 8s. Blinds are 40/80. Action folds to me and I go all-in, BB calls, showing 10h 3h. At least I have one overcard. Flop Qh 7s Jh. I pair my Q but BB now has a flush draw. Turn 2d. River 6c. Phew. I'm now back up to 1320 chips. This takes us to the last hand.
Hand 82. I'm MP1 w/Ac Qh, blinds 50/100. Action folds to me and I limp in w/100. MP1 & CO call, BB checks. Flop 8d 10d Qc. I pair my Q. BB checks, I bet 200 into the 450 pot, MP1 raises all-in w/3095 chips, rest fold and I call. I'm not sure what they have but feel pretty good about my Q pair w/Ace kicker. They show Kc Qs. OK, so far I'm ahead. Turn 2s. One card to go. River Kd. They hit again with their lower kicker giving them two pair. I lose and am out of here.
Overall I feel I played ok and got my chips in with decent cards most of the time and unfortunately for me, the cards didn't fall my way enough times.
