18 SNG $8 + .80 TIer One End 13th 17 hands

Well what can I say? My two best hands AKo I had to fold and AA I was beat by a 35, but I did have a chance to back away from that one and didn't.

Hand 14 was my 1st little hiccup. I was BT w/Kd 3s. Action folded to me and I decided to try and steal the blinds and bet 3BB (120), SB called, and BB went all-in w/1670 chips. I folded at that point. They had 99 & QQ. The board showed 10s kc 10d 7s Ah. If I had stayed in I'd have won BUT there was no way I could justifying sticking around. I now had 1390 chips.

Hand 16 looked like a chance to get some of those chips back as I had AKo. UTG opened w/a limp of 50, MP called, HJ raised to 275, I called, though I wasn't overjoyed with that 275 raise, BT folded, SB called, BB & UTG folded, MP called. Flop 6c 5s 7d. No help to my AK. SB bets 400 into the 1200 pot, MP, HJ & I fold. SB shows 8d 9d, having hit a straight on the flop.

Hand 17 looks like my big change to maybe hit big. I have pocket A's (Ah As) in HJ position. I open with a 3 BB bet (150), CO folds, BT calls, SB folds, & BB calls. Flop 5s 4h 5d. Again not the kind of flop I wanted to see. BB checks, I bet 225 into the 475 pot, BT folds & BB calls. Turn 10d. BB checks again. I think about it for awhile. I have 740 chips left and decide to challenge him all-in. I do consider that he might have a 5, but am hoping he doesn't and my bet will get him off the hand. He calls & indeed he does have a 5. NUTS!! River Jh. I'm done and outta there.

I could have backed off and though my chip stack would be hurting I'd still be in the game.
