2 HU $2 + .15 End 1st 42 hands

I mainly wanted to get in a quick HU before the Tucson Open started (get in my HU game before I played other rounds). As it turns out I was the only one who showed up for the Tucson Open. I played fair this session

Hand 3 I picked up a few chips on a gamble on the river. I was SB w/7c 2s,  I limped in and BB called. Flop 3s 10d 8s. Not much for me. BB & I check. Turn Js. That makes it interesting. I now have a flush draw with a very weak 2s in my hand. BB bets 40 (the pot) and I raise to 80, they call. I don't know what that means. Are they on a flush draw, do they already have one, might they have a straight? River Qs. I have my flush and the BB just checks. I bet half the pot expecting they'll raise me if they have the flush, but they just call. They show 4c 3d, no flush and weaker cards then I expected. I now have a small lead w/1730 chips.

Hand 10 I give chips back. I'm BB w/1610 chips and As 5h. SB bets 2 BB (40) and I call. Flop Ac 6c 10c. I pair my Ace but there is a possible club flush out there. I check and the SB checks. Turn 4h. I bet 1/2 the pot of 80 and SB calls. River 9c. Darn. That makes a club flush even more likely. I bet 1/2 the pot (80) to test the waters and SB raises to 160. Not a good sign, but since it is such a small raise I call. SB shows Kh Qc, having hit the flush on the River. My paired Ace was good up to that point. With that kind of a flop I doubt I could have got them off their hand.  I fall back to 1370 chips.

Hand 40. We had a lot of back forth up to this hand. I went as low as about a 1000 and as high as in the 1600's. I'm BB w/1685 chips and Ah 5h. SB limps in w/40 and I call. Flop Kh Qh 7s. Nice nut flush draw for me. I bet 1/2 the pot (40) and SB calls. Turn 8h. I hit my nut flush, now how do I get chips from the SB? I make a min bet of 40 into the 160 pot and SB calls. Ok I got a few. River 3h. Darn, not what I really wanted to see, not sure I can get any more out of this hand. I make a min bet of 80 into the 240 pot and to my surprise SB raises to 480. Did they hit a flush too? I reraise to 880 expecting them to fold but NO they CALL!!! SB shows Qc 7c, two pair. I would have to feel they are a fairly inexperience player to make that last bet and call, or were doing a lot of wishful thinking. They only have 315 chips left.

Hand 42. I'm trying to make a quick end of this. I'm BB w/Ks 2s. SB bets 80 and I call. Flop 2c Qc 7d. My deuce pairs. I decide to bet 160 to put them all-in w/their last 115 chips if they decide to call me. They do and show Ah 10s. Nice cards for them. Now will my 2's hold up? Turn 3h. River 8d. I was lucky and my 2's did hold up. I win.
