Payout 1-14 Entry, 15 - $4 I did a double KO so picked up $1 for that.
This one went better but I still need to find a better way to accumulate chips before the blinds get big and the bigger stacks are gunning for you, if for no other reason then to get the bounty for knocking you out.
Hand 13 I thought I played well in being aggressive and got rid of the two non-all-in players competing for the knockout bounty for the two all-in's with only 80 chips. I had Kc 10c UTG+1. UTG limped as did I. The two 80 chippers were next and went all-in. BB, UTG & I called. Flop Ks Qc 2h. I paired my K and my clubs could become a flush. The BB bet the pot of 425, UTG called. I'm not sure why they bet as high as they did but I figured the onlly way I might win this was to try and get them to fold, so I went all-in w/my last 1320 chips (BB has 3855 and UTG has 935). To my relief they both folded. The two 80 chips players had 8c 9c & Ac 3c. Interesting that all three of us had two pocket clubs. Turn 3d. River 4d. I get the knockout's and 425 chips times two!!! Woo Hoo!!
Hand 53. I'm the BTN w/pocket 10's (10d 10s), 1210 chips w/blinds of 120/240/ante 25. I need chips!!! Action folds to HJ who goes all-in w/1420 chips. I decide to call and hope for the best as I'm not sure I'll see that much better of a starting hand before I'm blinded out. SB folds and BB w/9115 chips calls. BB has 6c 5c. Not much of thread to my 10's. HJ has Ks Qd, two overcards. Flop 3s Jh Ad. That doesn't hurt me. It does give HJ one end of an open-ended straight draw, needed a 10 and I have two of them. Turn 6h. River 2d. I get the main pot of 3960 chips and the BB gets 420 chips for pairing his 6 plus the knockout bounty for knocking the HJ out. That helps but my M is still under 10. I get up to 4550 chips by hand 61 but go downhill from there.
Hand 70. I have JTo in CO and 2425 chips w/blinds of 200/400/ante 50. Action folds to MP2 who goes all-in w/1255 chips, HJ folds, and I decide to call. Not necessarily the best decision but I'm getting anxious. BTN folds and BB w/17848 chips calls. Flop 8h 9h Kh. Not the flop I wanted to see. BB & I check. Turn 10h. Great, it pairs my 10 but makes a heart flush even more likely. BB & I check again. River 6c. BB & I check. BB has Ad 6d having paired his 6 on the River. MP2 has Ah Kc, having the nut flush. I'm down to 1170 chips.
Hand 72 I get lucky. I'm MP w/7c 8c and decide to go all-in w/my last 1070 chips. HJ & CO fold, BTN goes all-in w/17,093 chips, SB & BB fold. BTN shows pocket 10's (10s 10d). It does not look good for me. Flop 7d Qd Qh. My 7 is paired. Turn 2s. One card to go. River 7s. WOW I hit trip 7's and win!! I now have 3140 chips but the blinds are still killers.
Hand 76 I have a bit more of luck. I have Ad 8c as SB w/2290 chips and blinds now 250/500/ante 50. Action folds to CO who open raises 1250 leaving him w/1865 chips. BTN folds and I decide to go all-in. BB folds and CO calls. They have Ah 9s. They have me covered. Flop 3h 3c 6s. Turn 6c. Nice we'll likely chop the pot. River Kd and we do.
Hand 77. Hmm, interesting. I just noticed I had pocket 7's for this hand. :-) Action folds to MP who goes all-in w/1185 chips. HJ & CO fold and I decide to call since I have a pair, rest fold to the big stack who calls. Flop 10c 9h 9c. Not looking good for my 7's. Turn 8d. River 4h. I'm done as the big stack gets a FH.
