Payout: 1-11 Entry 12th - 105 FTP 13th - 63 FTP 14th - 42 FTP
I played fine until the last hand. I decided to play aggressively pocket K's against a one suit flop and a player who had made some really poor calls earlier that took them from top stack down to a modest stack. I should have just checked the flop or made a modest bet to see where I stood.
Hand 42. I'm HJ w/Ks Kc w/4135 chips. Blinds 120/240/ante 25. Action folds to MP w/13,615 chips and they open raise 3 BB (720), I reraise to 1680, rest fold and MP calls. Flop Qd Ad 7d. Not the fold I wanted to see. I think about it and then decide I'll gamble on his poor play and bet all-in w/my last 2455 chips into the 3920 pot. MP calls and shows 10d 8d. Crummy starting cards, winning hand!!! Of course that does not excuse my poor play on the flop!!!
I need to remember, besides to not play poorly, to keep my mind on the goal and what I need to do to get there. Yes I would have hated to fold my pocket K's, but under the circumstances, unless the Turn & River gave me a FH and it only took very minor chip amounts to stay for the draws, I had no business continuing that hand and certainly not getting all-in hoping 1) MP made another poor play and 2) that his poor cards didn't hit the flush. Up to the flop I feel I played that hand fine.
