I got off to a good start on hand 1 w/Ad Qh as BB. UTG+1 limped in w/30, MP raised to 330. Action folded to the BTN who re-raised to 630, SB folded and I decided to re-raise all-in w/my 1500 chips. Action folded to the BTN who called showing 2s 5c. Well he does have two good undercards. The board played out 8c Qd 3s Jd 5s. My paired Q won and I had 3375 chips.
Hand 9 I have pocket A's (Ad Ac) and I hope a good chance to double up again. I'm on the BTN. UTG +1 & MP limp in w/30, HJ & CO fold, I raise to 15, SB & BB fold, UTG+1 & MP call. Flop 7s 9c 2d. UTG+1 bets the pot of 495, MP calls and I decide to go for it raising all-in w/my 3150 chips. Both call. UTG+1 has Ks 9s, having paired his 9 on the flop. MP has 8s 10d, having an open ended straight. Turn 4c. River 6d. MP hits their straight and I'm outta there.
Probably with that flop and the betting I should have folded. Though neither one had a set, they could have and my A's would have been beat then. If I want to be around for the finish, I also need to fold at the right times too.
