I played fairly well and had some early luck. Hand 12 w/AQo and hand 14 w/pocket A's.

Hand 12. I'm CO w/As Qd. UTG+1 limps in w/50 and I raise to 175, BTN & SB fold, BB & UTG+1 call. Flop 8c Ac 6d. I pair my Ace. BB & UTG+1 check and I bet 275 into the 550 pot. The BB raises me to 1400 which would put me all in, UTG+1 folds and I call. Either I have the best or I'm in big trouble. I think they would have raised me pre-flop if they had a K, so all I'm worried about here is that they might have a hit a set. Turns out they only have Ax, Ad 7h. Turn 6c. River 8s. Our kickers make the difference and my Q helps me carry the day. I have 3170 chips.

Hand 14. Two players showing not officially in the play yet. I'm UTG w/pocket A's (Ah As). I open raise 2 BB (100) wanting to get a little action. HJ & CO fold, BTN (player I beat w/AOo) raises me all-in w/2810, SB folds,  BB calls & I call. I'm wondering, since I have pocket A's what might they have that they are betting on? Flop 10d 5s 5d. I'd rather the board hadn't paired. BB limp bets 50 into the 8455 pot and I call w/my last 10 chips. BTN shows Ks Jh. BB has pocket 7's (7c 7s). Things are looking good for me at the moment. Turn Ad. Nice!! I now have a FH, A's full of 5's!! River 10s, just makes a better FH for me, but it isn't needed. I now have 8465 chips and can relax a bit. My chances of being one of the 10 winners is looking much better.

There's not a lot say afer this. For the greater part I played pretty tight and passive, only getting back into the action near the end when the blinds were up and I needed to keep my chip level above the number 10 player.
