Payout 1-250 entry $1,000 Weekly Freeroll
OK play in general. Hand 10 I was BB w/Jd 9h, MP1 Limped in w/50 and rest folded and I checked. Flop Kd 10h 8c. I have an open-ended straight draw. I bet 100 into the 175 pot and MP1 raised me to 200. I decide to call to see the Turn. Js. I check and MP1 bets the pot of 575. I've paired my J but there are other straight possibilities out there, such as A Q, that even if I hit my straight on the River I'm still beat, so I fold. Actually I can't think of any really good circumstances, with my cards, that would allow me to call his 575 bet. That drops me to 1150 chips.
Hand 14. I'm HJ w/Ad 5d. Acton folds to me and I limp in for 50, BTN raises to 100, SB calls, BB folds and I call. I wanted to just get in for 50. Flop As 6h 2d. I pair my Ace but that isn't what I really wanted. SB min raises 50, I and BTN call. Turn Jd. Hmm, I now have a nut flush draw. SB again min raises, I & BTN call. I didn't mention BTN had 18,435 chips. The SB has been making bets small enough I'm willing to call to see the next card. River 9s. No flush, just a pared Ace w/a weak kicker. SB bets the pot of 650, I & BTN fold. I'm down to 925 chips. A few hands after this I'm moved to a new table where 5 of the 9 players are sitting out.
I was able to pick up a few chips here and there that kept my chip count about even. The only smaller stack than me was one of the sitting out players. Hand 40 I decided to raise the limper all-in w/my last 825. I had Ks 7c. The SB decided to raise all-in w/5225 that took out the limper. Unfortunately they showed As Kh. Bad timing on my part to try an all-in. AK held up and I was gone.
As I said I felt my play was generally ok. I could have been more patient at the end but the blinds of 40/80 and soon to be 50/100 didn't give me a lot of time to wait for better cards and between the four of us, it did seem some one of was always open betting each hand.
