2 HU $2 + .15 End 1st 3 hands

Well this one went much faster than I expected and on hand 3 I thought I had a good chance of losing.

Hand 1. I'm BB w/pocket J's (Jc Jd). SB limps in w/20 and I raise to 40. Flop 6s 5d 9s. Looks ok to my J's. I bet 1/2 the pot (40) and SB calls. Turn 8s. Hmmm, possible flush and gutshot straight. I bet 1/2 the pot again (80) and SB calls. River 2d. Doesn't look like any harm there. I bet 170 into the 320 pot and SB calls. Uh oh, do they have that flush? SB shows Ac 2s. I win.

Hand 2. I'm SB w/Qc 2c. I open raise 2 BB (40) and BB calls. Flop 10s Js 3h. BB checks and I do the same. Turn 4c. BB bets 20 into the 80 pot and since I have nothing and no real hopes for much, I fold.

Hand 3. I'm BB w/5s 4c. SB limps in w/20 and I call. Flop 3s 4d 10d. I pair my 4 and at 1st think I have an open ended straight draw when I bet 1/2 the pot (20) and then catch that I don't! SB calls. Turn 4s. The board pairs and I hit trip 4's. I really didn't think about the board pairing and what that might mean to me in terms of the other players hand. What I did see though, was 2 spades and 2 diamonds. I wanted the River to be a club or a heart. I bet 40 into the 80 pot and the SB raises me to 200. Drat, what might they have? I did not think about a FH option. I called thinking they may be more on a flush draw. River Ks. One of the suits I did not want to see. I decided to stick w/my trip 4's and bet 200 into the 480 pot and the SB goes all in w/their last 970 in chips. Phooey. If I call and lose, I'll be hurting chip wise. I do call and SB shows Ad 8h and I win. Session over. I guess they were representing they hit the flush and were hoping I'd fold; I can't believe they felt their Ace high would win.
