Turned out by the time I finished writing up the last session there was another freeroll starting in 30 minutes or so, so I decided to join that one. I lasted longer this time and again went out with pocket A's, and again in a situation where I should have folded after the flop of Jc Jh 5s instead of going all-in, but I decided to take my chances neither of the two other earlier callers had a J. Would have been a nice triple up.
Hand 118. I'm the SB w/5790 chips, blinds 100/200. UTG bets 200, UTG+1 raises to 600, action folds to me and I raise to 1800, SB calls, BB folds, and UTG calls. The SB has 33,979 chips & UTG has 32,602 chips. Maybe if I'd gone all-in at the start they'd not have called, but I actually wanted them too so I could double up if things went well. Flop Jc Jh 5s. Do not like seeing those J's and I debate if either them might have one of the remaining J's. Anyway, as I said above, I decide to go for it and bet all-in with my last 4090 chips. SB folds & UTG calls showing Kh Jd. My worst fear met. I'm hoping for another Ace. Turn Ks. Well another Ace would help me!!! River 5d. I'm done.
Had one other very nice hand. I had pocket K's and flopped quad K's!! Was able to double up on that one.
Hand 96 I had pocket K's but no callers. then hand 97 I got them again and was able to double up that time.
One other interesting situation. Hand 54 a player had pocket 2's to a large stacks AK. The 2's hit a set on the flop and he doubled up. Hand 55 right after that I had pocket 2's and I wondered could we have two pocket 2 sets in a row??? & YES WE CAN!! & the same large stack player lost again this time holding pocket 5's. I didn't double up that time because I didn't want to scare him away, but upped my chip total by about a 3rd.
