27 SNG $5 + .50 End 21st Hands 20

Poor play on one hand and a gamble on the last hand. Best hand was KK as BB but no callers. Hand 20 was my big set back and one I should have got out of soon and likely not even entered to begin with.

With one limper I call. I debated not getting in at all but decided I'd take a look at the flop.

Flop: (t180) 9, Q, 10 (3 players)
Hero bets t90, BB calls t90, CO calls t90

Flop paired my Q, but with a weak kicker that's not much help and the flop shows straight possibilities for the other players, BUT I decide to punt at it and bet 1/2 the pot (90). Both other players call. Darn, no luck getting either of them to fold.

Turn: (t450) 6 (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets t180, 1 fold, Hero calls t180

The Turn did NOT help me but I call the BB bet anyway. :-/ Why? I have no good answer.

River: (t810) 3 (2 players)

The River is even less help to me and I check, the BB bets 300 and I call??? Unbelievable!!  The only way I could win at this point is if my paired Q held up and I can see no reason to expect that to happen. Of course I lose when the BB shows Q6, two pair, but he had me beat with his Q's kicker anyway.

BB had Q, 6 (two pair, Queens and sixes).

Nothing else to say about that hand. I should not have been in there, I should not have been in there, I should not have been in there!!!!

Two hands later, hand 22 I take a shot at getting back some of my chips. I'm the CO w/8s 7s, the action folds to me, and I decide to try and steal the blinds betting 3 BB (180), BT and SB fold, but BB raises all-in w/1680 chips. I decide to gamble and call with my last 435 chips. Maybe I'll get lucky. If not, so be it. I had pretty much given up on this session anyway. BB shows 9h 9d. Not as bad as I expected.  Flop Jd 5c 2c. Turn 6d. Some hope here as I now have an open ended straight draw. River 5s.  I'm outta there.

Off to watch the Olympics and clear some space on my DVR.
