2 HU $2 + .15 End 2nd 22 hands

Sad last hand. Looking at how I played it, maybe I should have gone all-in on the turn and that might have got him to fold. Otherwise I felt I played ok.

Last Hand 22:   Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, 2.15 Tournament, 15/30 Blinds (2 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

SB (t2140)
Hero (BB) (t860)

Hero's M: 19.11

Preflop: Hero is BB with A, J
SB bets t120, Hero calls t90

I debated raising here but felt it was better to just call and see what my AJ did on the flop.

Flop: (t240) A, 3, 10 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets t120, Hero raises to t240, SB calls t120

I hit my Ace but not sure what that means, SB could have AK, AQ that could beat me so I check and call their bet.

Turn: (t720) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB checks

At this time I'm down to 500 chips and decide to check which the SB also does.

River: (t720) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets t500 (All-In), SB calls t500

Nothing scary out there so I decided to go all-in

Total pot: t1720

Results:
SB had 7, 7 (three of a kind, sevens).
Hero had A, J (one pair, Aces).
Outcome: SB won t1720

Over & out I'm done.

More 2nd thoughts. Based on SB's betting pre-flop and on the flop, I'm leaning more toward checking on the Turn was the better decision, as if he had something and bet I'd be able to fold. I don't think I had enough information to risk going all-in at that point.

The River all-in bet was probbly not my best choice, though I did feel confident he likely didn't have AK or AQ since he didn't bet on the turn. If I'd checked and he made a big bet, I'd have been able to fold and though short stacked still be in the game.
