Cake Poker, along with Carbon Poker and Pokerview, have a lot fewer players than Full Tilt and Poker Stars, so it is a lot harder to find a 27 player SNG without long, long waits. This night in particular there were 3 players registered and it seemed to stay there with no-one else signing up. I found a tournament that had late registration with 10 or so players, but that filled out to 35 by the end of late registration.
Overall, I was doing OK. I'd had a couple of early all-in wins that gave me a good starting stack to work with. They pay the top 5. We were down to 9 players when suddenly Comcast went out, both internet and cable. A phone call to them and the recorded voice says there were problems in my area and that they should be fixed in a couple of hours. Three hours later or so they were back but the tournament was long gone. Cake Poker doesn't let you look up tournaments and they only hold a few completed tournaments viewable. I wrote support and they were able to find out where I finished .... 6th!! Grrrr, I had a good chance to finish in the money!! At least this doesn't happen all the time and usually when it does, it's only out for 5-10 minutes. That is one of the negatives of online play.
