Here it is day 4 of 2011. I've played 15 SNG's, 1 On Demand tournament, and 3 6-max Rush $5 sessions (500 hands total). Rush up a little bit 1st two sessions then big down last night (will write more later on that), so on the Rush side I'm down $12.87 .... mostly through my own fault either by calling when I should have folded or raising to put the other player all-in when they have the winning hand (some of those hands it was OK to continue betting, but moderation is what was needed and not super aggressive; yes I would have still loss those hands but fewer $$$$).
On the SNG side I'm up $2.85. HU's has been my best showing so far. Of 9 $5 and 1 $2 sessions I've won 7 of those for a net profit of $14.60 and ROI of 29.55. Of 6-max $5 SNG's I've played 3 and moneyed 2nd in one for a net loss of $6. Of Full Table (9) SNG's I've played 4 and moneyed 3rd in 2 for a net loss of $4. I also played one $2 On Demand tournament (45 needed to start) with a final field of 235 and finished 64th (it payed 27).At the moment HU is keeping me on the plus $$$ side.
Overall I'd say my play has been mixed, which to be truthful, is pretty much where it is most of the time. Some days I don't have the virtue of patience which at the levels I play, in itself, can often put one into the money. Though I have taken some bad beats, most of the time, I tend to make one or two really poor play decisions in a session that cripple my chip stack. Sometimes I get lucky and make it back, but more often I get knocked out.
One goal for 2011 is to improve my play so I make fewer poor decisions that hurt my chip stack, or, at worse, if I'm making one I'm totally aware of it BEFORE I make the play.
