Rush 9 man $.05/.10 153 hands Up $12.18

Overall this was a good session. Made up the $10 I was down the last one plus a bit more. Played 153. Started with $10, at 50 hands had $16.30, at 100 hands had $20.77, and at 153 hands had $22.18.

Hand 57. I had 88 as the SB, MP2 bet $.40, I called and the BB called. Flop was 9s 10h 8s. I had my set BUT a straight could be out there. I bet $.60 into the $1.20 pot, BB raised to $1.20, MP2 folded, and I decided to call. Turn Jh. Even more likely a straight is out there. I check and BB check’s making me think he doesn’t have a straight?? The River is a Jc.

Oh boy, I think, I have a FH!!! That beats a straight! I bet $1.65 into the $3.60 pot and BB goes all-in with $3.40. That’s only $1.75 more so I feel I have to call without worrying too much about what he might have. I thought my FH would win. Turns out he had pocket 9’s to my pocket 8’s!! He has 9’s full of J’s to my 8’s full of J’s. I lose!! That cuts me back to only being up $1.45.

Most of the rest was a lot of little wins with some in a $1-$2 range. One nice hand was hand 93.

Hand 93. I have pocket K's as the BB. UTG bets $.40, all fold to me and I raise to $.80. BB calls. Flop Jh 3h 4s. Good, no A's. Wondering if UTG hit any of that and if that was what made him open. I bet $.75 into the $1.65 pot and UTG goes all with $6.65. That would mean another $5.90 from me w/$6.91 of my $10 left. I think about it for a bit, debating if he might have a set. I didn't feel he had A's or I think he'd have re-raised my raise rather than just call. This is a time when it would be nice to what he has done previously but you don't have that option in Rush. In the end I decide to call figuring if he has set I could draw an overset and runner, runner heart would give me a K high flush.

He turns up Ac Js. I breathe a sigh of relief that I'm not beat at this point and hope he doesn't hit an A or J on the Turn & River. Turn 2d. Now I have to worry about a 5 as well that would give him a straight. :-/ River 10h and I win!! A $13.96 pot comes my way. Phew!! That's adds a little over $7 to my side.

Nothing special happened the rest of the way out.
